Carvel — Restaurant in Marlboro Township

I was lied to by the staff and treated extremely poorly by the owner. We placed an order for an iced cream cake that we decided to change. When I called to change it, I was given a price by an employee but when I called back to place the order I was told the price was wrong and was given a much higher price. I knew what I heard on my call but the lady I spoke with insisted it was the owner I spoke with and the price had to be right. I told them to hold on the order until further notice. This was upsetting. When I called again to let them know (as a courtesy), the owner answered and told me it was already made, and got upset. When I told him why we no longer wanted it (we were lied to about the price) he got into a fighting match with me insisting I was wrong and mentioned it must have been an employee that told me the price and not him. That made sense but I couldn't get a word in with him yelling at me. He told me he didn't need my business and hung up on me. I called back to explain that his employee gave the price and that's where this went bad...but he wouldn't pick up my call. So here I am. I had the worst experience ever in life! The owner told me that I would be getting the Cinderella cake that I wanted asked me for a picture I sent a picture of the cake I wanted which was a round Cinderella and he gave me this. I was so upset he was only willing to fill it in with icing instead of making it beautiful and round like the other photo. While many have written about the owners being rude - my primary interaction has been with the kids that run this Carvel ice-cream store in a daily basis. They are very nice and accommodating to even your trying kids.

The Carvel strawberry ice-cream tastes very weird and fake in its flavoring unfortunately.
