I really love this restaurant and I hate to leave negative reviews (so I never do) but something needs to be done about hair in food.
I have been here probably over 50 times within the last few years, with the exception of when the pandemic/lockdown started. Even then, I'd still order takeout and support the restaurant because I love their food and service. Unfortunately, I really had to stop. I went back recently and had hair in my food, an issue I didn't even bother bringing up because at that point it was my fault. I know the way it is and chose to go. I have had about 12 occasions where hair was found in one of the dishes I've bought (either during takeout or at restaurant). This time, I ordered a great pancake, tasted amazing, only to move the pancake and see two strands of hairs stuck under it. It's just disgusting.I really try not to put people down or establishments down but I don't want others dealing with this. Come to find out quite a few people have had this issue. The solution at one point seemed to be, "We'll give you 10% off next order" or something of the sort. That's just not good enough. I'm not a greedy person but the courteous thing to do would be giving back money and an apology with some hair nets for staff or something.
I'm not sure why that is but it's the most off putting and disturbing thing to find hair in food. It is not done on purpose but there's no excuse for this stuff. It's stomach turning. I have no critique about the quality of the food or taste as that's not the issue, those deserve 5 stars. And everyone who works there is friendly.
My main issue is the hair in food. And no, it is not mine because I'm actually bald lol. I really want to keep patronizing but I just can't....
Read moreWe were seated right away with a friendly greeting when we walked in. Our server spoke so low and with the music so loud could barely hear her. Took our order and then barely saw her had to ask the food runner to get her because we needed coffee refills. I had the Fancy Burrata and my husband had the Grilled steak and eggs. i barely had a 1/4 of an avocado on top of my food and the same for husbands avocado toast he had 5 very thinly sliced avocado for two pieces of toast also less then a 1/4 of an avocado. Couldnât even complain about that because our server was no where to be found and our food was getting g cold. The steak was cooked to perfection and very tender. when our check came i noticed prices were higher then the menu prices when i asked the server she said oh there is an up charge in the eggs because of the shortage and hands us a little piece of paper that said sorry for the inconvenience there will be a .50 cent charge in each egg so we got charged $2.50 for 5 eggs plus the 3% service charge to help pay for their credit card machine fees⌠Called over a manager and she explained about the service charge which she should have taken off as a courtesy because the consumer is the one paying for the merchant to have the credit card machine. Plus they suggest you tip 20,22, or24% Manager even told me that itâs posted i. the counter when you come in, how would I see this when we got seated right away. I am in the food industry and told manager that the servers should be telling patrons about the up charge on the eggs. when dining out who looks for signs about service fees and up...
Read moreBeautiful place but thatâs about the only good thing. My husband and I were recommended to this place by a co worker. We have an hour and a half to kill between appointments so we decided to give it a go! We were seated quickly but left alone for about 30 minutes before even being acknowledged. The waitress took our drink and food order and leaves the table. 10 minutes go by and we finally got a glass of water and a cup of coffeeâŚ. Several more minutes go by and she walks over and states âyour food wonât be out for another 20 or so minutes because we took two large âto goâ orders after youâŚ. I said âokay no thank you, we need to make a Dr appt and need to leave- we will pay for the drinks and thatâs fineâ âŚ. She takes my husbands debit card and puts it in her pocket and disappears. A few minutes pass as we decided to just go to the register ourselves and ask for his card- The waitress then comes over to the register and puts HALF of our food order down and says âthe rest will be out shortlyâ I again say âwe will just be paying for the drinks and leaving- thank youâ âŚ. She walks away and comes back , asks us if we want the food to go- again I said NO!- still with only half the food on the dirty register counter. She states âwell- my manager said you HAVE to pay for the food since I brought it to youâ as sheâs clenching my husbands card to her chest âŚâŚ.. I SAID NO! Iâm not paying for food I didnât consume or that didnât even make it to our table! They finally figured out how to void the meal and we left.
Donât go here unless you have HOURS to...
