Allow me to explain why some places don't make the cut and how Burger Bros. in Marlboro can. When you combine juicy, tasty, succulent, meaty and fresh Angus Beef with the great combinations of toppings to electrify your taste buds sandwiched between the buns that even appeal to the eye and satisfy to the taste (especially the Brioche Buns), you've got a legend of a sandwich to behold. What I'm saying is that anyone can enjoy a burger that can be grilled in one's own backyard or stove pan, but the eye of the beholder meets the taste of champions - the Burger Bros. and those who put it into motion clearly saw through the standards and trekked to higher heights to transform the American classic into an American overachiever.
To date, I have visited the Burger Bros. twice and have entrusted the chefs in their monthly creations, the Burger of the Month, in both visits. The first month involved the Caprese Burger, which was their burger topped with the simple Italian salad consisting of fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and basil with some balsamic vinegar drizzled. Seemingly appropriate with the massive Italian community surrounding the county they're in, I'm not surprised that it was a big hit because, with all the Italian cuisines I have to go through, I feel like that's a fresh, brilliant taste to compliment the locale while enjoying a great favourite staple dish of our nation.
Then, a month later (July 2015) I returned to try their next burger of the month - the "El Cubano" burger. It was slightly predictable to me and it was interesting enough to try a Cuban sandwich-inspired burger topped with a slice of smoked ham, garlic mayo, melted Swiss cheese and mustard on a beautiful-as-always Brioche roll! Boy, was I thrilled to have the flavourful Cuban sandwich taste in an all-American sandwich. It was actually, rather, a surprise when the smoked ham met the Angus beef because, unlike Bacon Burgers, this wasn't just a crunchy stick of meat, but a slice of flavourful pork meat smoked to taste and blended in nicely with the rest of the sandwich. Add that Cuban sandwich taste with the zest of mustard and garlic mayo to smoothly transition the beef's seared juices. With the second burger of the month being so impressive, I can really put my trust into the brains behind the creations - I'll keep looking forward to what's new in the future!
The people who are the face of the restaurant are always important and these guys understand it here at Burger Bros. Unlike your typical burger joint that serves up a burger and often doesn't come back to check up on you, those working here, including the co-owners, are very responsive to all the customers in the restaurant. Even when it's busy, these guys cater to your request to the best of their ability. For me, they have left me very happy every time! If they ever franchise the restaurant out there, I hope they pass this on because that's always a huge plus to the service factor.
Finally, environment-wise, I find the atmosphere to be a very positive, somewhat between the Southern California "classy" Burger Restaurant with the New York City-esque standard restaurant with the Central New Jersey positive attitude that locals love. It's pretty difficult to explain, but I feel very relaxed in a comfortable dining environment with standard decor that doesn't get too old or flashy. The restaurant is well-maintained, clean and tidy in and out. Their outdoor seating area is really ideal and is a great place to enjoy the meal (and, if you're in the area from the Henry Hudson Bike Trail, do stop by for lunch!)
The high-fashioned burgers with the taste of a high-class sandwich and the familiarity of the all-American dish can be found at Burger Bros. The Burger of the Month is definitely not something to miss, but all the sandwiches can really put a feeling of wonder on which one you should have the next time you're there. Burger Bros. is a trendy burger restaurant that keeps its flow going with some great sandwiches and I highly praise them in...
Read moreThis was my first time eating with Burger Bros, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I did not expect how good it was until I tried it myself, after all, its in a strip mall. From a distance I watched 4 construction workers leave their work site, walk across the street, through the parking lot and into Burger Bros. If they were going to that effort then it must be good. The place was busy but not crowded or loud, they had 3 registers open and the workers were all to happy to take our order. Since it was the first time I needed to check out the menu first and decide. I had the Napa Burger with a mountain of blue cheese crumbles and bacon, and they were not shy with the bacon. My friend purchased a burger with cheese, pickles, and bacon, again they were not shy with the bacon. The burgers are not small, big portion, but not overwhelming. The fries were a larger portion than expected, so just get small unless you're really hungry. Everything is sold as a separate item, so remember to ask for a beverage, (no combos). I also had boneless wings with the buffalo sauce, it was so good I was dipping my fries in the sauce as well. Every food item was made to order, so they give you a place card and you seat yourself. When the food is ready they will bring it to you. The bathrooms were clean and tidy as well. All in all, amazing place to eat lunch! Highly...
Read moreSeems like the manager has something personal against me. When ever I deal with him. Something always goes wrong, Perhaps I should change my last name when I call, I can't figure it out, I've never given him any reason to dislike me, but it is obvious that he has a personal issue with me, and it's sad that I can't prove it, and it makes me look bad, well tonight was the night I was tired of the games, I called him a jerk to his face and confronted him with my burnt sweet potato fries , he acts like he is clueless , I seriously doubt he is, to many things have happened while he is there . He is so rude too, I don't know how or why he's still working there,. The two co-owners are very professional & kind. The manager shouldn't be working in this establishment with his attitude. I wonder if anyone else feels the same way about this manager. He could definitely benefit from taking a course in social behavior, and maybe anthropology And he needs to work on being less rigid, . He lost his cool with me and , that was a big no, no ,...
