The Food Emporium — Local services in Marlboro Township

Mike and Manny are absolutely GANGSTER CHEFS! Their food was amazing! You can order food from them for any kind of occasion/event. My wife and I ordered food for the first time from them based on a recommendation from a co-worker who lives in the area. We not only ordered from them for New Years Eve; we ordered a second time five days later for a birthday dinner in our house. Mike is a stand up guy who works with the customer and offers great advice and made excellent suggestions (Homemade Brisket[flavors were awesome!!!] is a definite sleeper on the menu). We also ordered Filet Mignon that was seasoned and cooked to perfection! The sides were even more tastier and plentiful (String Beans Almondine/Rigatoni Eggplant Pasta and Eggplant Rollatini). Everything we ordered the first time was ordered the second time to see if it was a fluke, and neither my wife or I could find a thing wrong...in fact, the taste was better the second time and we thoroughly enjoyed it more. Hands down this is a Marlboro/Monmouth County HIDDEN GEM that word has to get out to the community what they're missing out on is some of the best food to come out of a Grocery Store/Catering Operation! If you're thinking of going to that restaurant you like to go to, you will end up spending half the amount and receive double the amount of food with Mike and enjoy the meal better! We are looking forward to the next order we place with Mike and Manny @ Food...

I do not recommend the bakery at Food Emporium Marlboro. I ordered a cake 3 weeks in advance and left a deposit...when I went to pick it up they informed me they sold my Mint Chocolate Chip Cake the night before. They offered me a Cannoli Cake instead...at full price. I asked the manager (or owner i am unsure) for a discount as I wasn’t able to receive the cake i ordered. He offered me $5 off! I’d like to think that good customer service would have given me a free cake or a more heavily discounted offer as I was unable to get something I ordered in advance and placed a deposit for. When asked for $10 off he could not even do that and had to bargain with me for $8 off. Very sad when I go to this store every week to buy my groceries and have been a loyal customer since open! Very disappointed in the service offered to me this morning, I hope their service and prices improve over time. For now i will return to Acme, as the convenient location does not make up for the awful customer service. I may say that the bakery employee who I worked with was very apologetic and tried her best to assist me, but unfortunately she did not have the authority to offer...

I wanted to share how impressed I was today, Christmas day, with this store. I called and although it was Christmas I was greeted with such a pleasant employee, next I was transferred over to Manny to assist me. Manny went above and beyond to assist me with find a desperately needed item for our Christmas dinner and because of his efforts our dinner was saved!! Upon my visit to the store I met Mike, the manager who like everyone I spoke with treated me like I was a long time customer, warm friendly and extremely helpful. Food Emporium of Marlboro has a new customer! Its rare to find such outstanding customer service, AND on Christmas! UPDATE: 6-1-25 Huge THANK YOU to Manny again!! You saved me once again. The morning of my baby grandson's 2nd Birthday party I was asked to bring a 1/2 tray of Rice Pilaf as the original plan didn't work out. I had NO RICE and limited time, like 2 hrs before leaving.
