This is a fantastic little park with playgrounds, a basketball court, a fitness area, multiple pavilions, and even a splash pad.

There are things this park does well, and things it does not:

Does well: Offers many areas for children to play Offers many places to sit down for a picnic or to read Offers beautiful design in some of its buildings and pavilions Offers a closed off, private experience. Offers ample restroom facilities compared to the size of the park

Does not do well: Does not offer extensive walking or hiking areas. They have a very small track in the expansion area. Is restrictive of pavilion usage. Does not offer many areas for sports practice. Due to its relative enclosure, there aren't many natural views.

If you are looking to spend a couple hours outside, then this is your park. If you want to go for a long walk or to see stunning views, I'd suggest going to Creve Coeur Park instead.

Regardless, I enjoyed it, and I think anyone in the area should...

I visited this park specifically to walk the AllTrails Vago Park Walking Path and found the trail to be somewhat unique in that it encompasses two separate parts of this elongated park with very different features. The section of the trail closest to the park entrance contains a steep hill that I don't recommend tackling in wet weather, but is otherwise good exercise. There's also a decent bathroom. The path to get to the second section of the trail/park is along a roadway that's for the exclusive use of the park (I.e. it's not a residential street). In contrast to the first section, the second part and the street leading to it is very flat. There are some pretty gazebo-like shelters in the second section along with a nice bathroom. Walking the entire trail is about 2/3 shade, so good on a warm morning. I personally didn't get much out of this park, but I can see where it would be popular with local residents and, judging by the enthusiastic playing, it seems very popular...

Great set up of the park. There are two playgrounds. One for little and one for big kids. You can have a get together under two pavilions with BBQ grills or spread out a blanket for a picnic on the grass. There are water fountains and a splash area for kids or adults to play in the water. You can play sand volleyball, horseshoes, or other games. The walking trails and gardens attract dog walkers, walkers, runners, and skaters. There is a part of the sidewalk that honor those who are or have served in the military. Next to is an Elementary School. Nice place little league or friends to gather to play baseball. There is a track around the perimeter of the fields. Good for various sports and games. People set up equipment and play football, volleyball, soccer, frisbee, etc. It's even a excellent place to train and walk your dog. There are two basketball ball courts and a playground that can be used when school is...
