I visited this establishment about a week & a half ago ^ since that time I have visited 2 more times. The girl who works the bar was very pleasant & her service was great. The interior of the establishment had a authentic feel to it & kind of reminded me of the Mexican restaurants that I visited in Cozumel Mexico. My 1st time visiting I decided to try a Nacho, Loaded French Fries w/ Chorizo, & a Quesobirria. The Loaded French Fries were good & filling, my only complaint was that the Chorizo was salty like it had been soaked in salt?? My Quesobirria was not what I was expecting or what I had seen on a pic. Mine was actually Taco's, so I was disappointed with that, although they were tasty, but not what I was expecting or hoping & looking forward too. The Nachos were really good & were the 1st Nachos that I have had without Cheese or Queso on them. My complaint with the Nachos would be, No Cheese or Queso sauce on them, a little too much Cilantro on them, & that the Chips got soggy too fast & didn't stay crunchy, although I liked the Chips, because they were light & not real heavy. Since my 1st visit I have been back & ordered Loaded French Fries w/ Chorizo & once again it was salty. On my next visit I think I am going to try a Mexican Fiesta Pizza. La Taco is worth giving a try, the atmosphere is nice, not crowded, & the prices are fairly reasonable. They also have a fair amount...
Read morePlaced an order through Grub Hub and selected this establishment based on the reviews... The driver's arrived with my grub within 35 minutes of my order, so kudo's on the GH driver's quickness
Now for the meal...
Wow, what is the sodium content of your fajitas'. I have ordered chicken and shrimp fajitas many times at many establishments and never had some this salty, I have had full blown red top soy sauce less salty than these shrimp and chicken fajitas
I had to drown them in the guac and pico sent along to mask the saltiness
This is a reason I never salt food, it is way to salty as it is, and this meal had to be the king of salty dishes... I feel like I wasted $38.00 as it took me a while to get it all down and by that time is was getting cold.
Do Not Salt while you cook, some people do not like it, some people can't have it and unless you know how to balance salt as a seasoning in your dish it is best to avoid using it.
In all Honestly I would never order from here again. The only plus was the time from order to arrival at my hotel room... but the saltiness plus small portion size did not make this worth the $$$$ spent, I should have just walked across the parking lot to McDonald's at least i know I would be getting the same salty garbage for 1/3 of the price.
DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!
Remember SALT is...
Read moreI have only ever ordered take out from here so maybe that's the problem. In any case I just want to say the food is delicious but only sometimes. They are extremely inconsistent, sometimes they over season, sometimes they under season. Sometimes it's fresh and sometimes it's dry and overcooked. Sometimes it looks like they started making a taco, ran out of ingredients, and decided "eh screw it, it's take out they won't notice till they are home." I ordered the street tacos, the chorizo taco was dry and looked like dirt, the taco was barely filled and seemed like it was missing toppings, it was literally just some meat and a few diced onions. The asada was also dry but it at least didn't appear to be missing ingredients. The barbacoa lamb was ok, but it tasted like goat. The pork taco was actually pretty good. On to the sides... The rice was dry and had some crunchy bits, it was also barely seasoned. The refried beans were ok but too salty. The queso we paid 5 dollars for was maybe 4oz, and the chorizo that came with it was also very grainy and dry like dirt, it tasted like bacon bits. Maybe it's better in person, but I suggest you avoid ordering take out from here unless you want to roll the dice and waste money. I want to love this place, but this happens far too often and I doubt I'll be coming back...
