My kids always enjoy the fair but this year was particularly well done. They loved how interactive the puppet show was and I loved the messaging behind it about being a good friend and thinking of the environment. We enjoyed the acrobats, very talented and entertaining to watch. The boys also enjoyed the bike show and the wild animal show. The free inflatable area was really nice and the partnership with the local library for a ribbon for a free ride for reading in the summer was such a nice touch. Air conditioned exhibits are a nice break from the heat. The kids that were showing their animals were great, they showed the kids all kinds of things that come with raising animals. The fair was also extremely affordable, I think I spent less than $20 to entertain my kids from 11-5. They loved the train that takes them around the fair and all of the volunteers/staff were friendly. The exhibit at the beginning where they go through and collect all the items for a prize is always fun too. Great job! Looking forward to next year.

We attended a wedding reception in a large building in the middle of the fairgrounds. The rented dining hall was large enough to house about 6 very long tables, a big bridal party table, and a half dozen round tables...plus a dance floor....a small kitchen with a refrigerator, sink, counter space....indoor rest rooms.

We got married at the North Iowa Events Center 10/2/2021 and had an excellent experience. The building that we rented was the Marion E Olson Building. This building was absolutely prefect for our wedding. We had the ceremony in 1/4 of the building and then had the reception in the other 3/4. The North Iowa Events Center put up a nice divider which made it even more perfect. The building is climate controlled and has nice, new, and clean bathrooms. We had roughly 350 people and had no concerns with room and had enough space for everyone to move freely. Kristin Winters, the manager was awesome to work with! She went above and beyond to make our day as wonderful as possible. The bartenders that we had were also very friendly and did a great job. Overall the day could not have been any better thanks to Kristin and the North Iowa Events Center. I would recommend this...

We needed an overnight spot and found this through a camping app. The pictures were of lovely, empty grassy fields and looked like it would meet our needs for the evening. Imagine our surprise when we showed up and the county fair appeared to be happening. This worked for us since we were able to eat cheese curds and BBQ for dinner and didn't have to cook. The downsides were it was difficult to find our camping space and impossible to level our motor home. For one night, this was a great place to stay, though. I'm really glad...
