The ice cream was okay. Surprisingly, not very creamy. It might have had a little freezer burn because it had just been opened. I got two different flavors on a purple cake cone. I thought the colored cones were super cool, though I'm not sure if it was natural dyes or not. The ice cream is a little on the sweeter side but don't taste super artificial like some places. And, though the girl at the counter was nice she seemed to really dread my question about the flavors even though there was no one behind us waiting to be served. There's limited seating like someone else said. It was nice out so we sat outside at one of two tables. There's a play area for kids inside along with some merch and freeze-dried candy. I love the historic feel of the building. They could probably do better with the design and aesthetics. I wouldn't say it's very inviting, especially with the ice cream counter and employees not facing the door. It's kind of essential to at least have a face greet you as you walk in. Maybe that's just the southerner in me.

Probably some of the best ice cream I’ve had. A lot of flavor options, as well as sugar free and dairy free. They also have baked cookies and brownies to add to your ice cream or if you want to make a cookie sandwich, and some other simpler toppings, and they do shakes and malts too. They even make their own waffle cones. We have ordered two ice cream cakes on separate occasions for birthdays and they are absolutely delicious! You just need to give them at least a week notice to make it for you. Try them out and support this locally-owned business!

The Olde Creamery and gift Shoppe Tasty, local creamery and gift shop in the Mason City Brick and Tile building. Reasonably priced and mixed ice cream flavors. Handmade waffle cones. Very clean. Classic styling of the historic Brick and Tile building. Coffee cookie crunch ice cream with a mini cone in a cup. Salted caramel mini con in a cup. Both excellent!

Pros: *air-conditioning = cool place to relax on a really warm day *many options including dairy free *pints to go *neat building right next to a deli that serves lunch *super friendly and attentive staff *samples *waffle cones were fresh and crispy *small kitchen play area for kids

Cons: *peach sorbet had some icy chips in it *only two tables inside, not adequate seating (additional outside) *no ā€œice cream shoppeā€ decorations, very plain *more expensive than expected - paid almost $20 for 3,...
