We were there for a Youth Art Month event. The event was poor. Im not sure if the gallery is to blame or the hosts. The parents of the students attending were standing outside next to the dumpsters. They could not see anything. Good thing it wasnt raining, snowing or hot. (The dumpsters would have stunk). There is not enough parking.some guests walked from far away ... they parkrd in the train station. There is no handicap parking. There is no signage from the street. It is down in a recessed hole off the street. We passed it twice before we realized it was underneath a liquor store. Basicly a sketchy warehouse looking building in the middle of renovation. Maybe when its done and they put some signs up and move the dumpsters it might be acceptable. For an adult grungy artist space maybe, but for children and parents to have a reception to celebrate the importance of art in schools it certainly did nothing to...
Read moreLast March, I attended the Monmouth County YAM Exhibit and Reception. Donna was a wonderful host. She was more than accommodating to meet the needs of the event. ChaShaMa devoted a large amount of their studio space to the event; as there was a room for art activities, a collaborative mural, refreshment tables.
