I am a Gringo, but kind of an expert with Mexican Food. And my Spouse is from Mexico.
We ate here Sunday, 10/20/24, around 4:00 p.m., it was our first visit. The food was very good! Pros: Off Street Parking, BYOB, Clean appearance, good decor, clean bathroom. Nice server was very efficient, listened and was friendly. Food: Tamales Pollo con Mole Oaxaquena were very good. Mole could be a little more spicy. Tacos de Pollo with hand made tortillas were good. Salsas Roja y Verde need to be more spicy ( pica ). Enchiladas Pollo con Mole Oaxaquena were very good, 4 to an order and reasonable. But rice and beans is extra. Guacamole was fresh and as we requested made a bit more spicy, with cilantro and jalapeños. Got two tamales to go! Views of train while eating.
Cons: Dining area has close seating with the table set up. 15 % gratuity already added to check! Caution you might not catch it and double tip. ( I usually give 20% to 25%). Some food noted as above should be more spicy.
I would recommend this place to friends and family!!!
When back in the area I may...

The service was incredible, unfortunately I could not meet Guadalupe herself but I am sure she is a lovely woman just like this lovely restaurante....
