Sakura Spa — Attraction in McDonough

Truly the worst experience and massage I’ve ever received. It was horrible from beginning to the end. She at first while in the room waiting to get undressed wanted me to pay upfront with tip included and wasn’t going anywhere until I did so. It came off very abrasive and with lack of personal space/privacy in preparation for the massage. If payment needed to be upfront that needed to mentioned upfront and occur before going in to a room. Second, the music playing had people singing lyrics which completely takes away from the atmosphere and calming space with just peaceful sounds you hope to have during a massage. Thirdly and most importantly, she felt my shoulders and identified they were “bad” but only spent a couple of minutes on them while proceeding to spend the majority of time on my arms and legs. Including stretching me out like a pretzel as if I was in physical therapy, pressing my heels to my glutes 3 times for about 10 seconds+ each. It seemed very disorganized and the massage itself did not feel like a true massage at all. She also barely used any lotion which she called “oil” and it was mainly just dry hands. I left even more tense and with new excruciating lower back pain to the point from all the stretching. It was so bad I had to go to another masseuse once I left there. Highly DISAPPOINTED!! I scheduled to have a one hour massage today. The lady told me absolutely. When I get there they yell at me from the back and don’t bother to come to the front until I don’t respond. When she finally takes me back, she asks how long of a massage would I like. When I tell her one hour ($60) she says okay but that’ll be a $20 tip. I said excuse me. She says if you want a 1 hour massage it’s $20 tip. Fist off you don’t tell someone how much they will tip. Gratuity is a way to show gratitude for a service rendered. This was just completely tacky. Let’s be clear my issue is not with tipping, it’s with the fact that you’re going to tell me how much I need to tip and if that is your policy it should be stated up front. This was a horrible experience, I wish I read the reviews before spending my money. I wanted a 60min massage but after she Swindled me for an upfront $20 tip stating it was mandatory. Already frustrated because she barely spoke or understood English. I decided to go for a 30min massage and was still asked to pay $20 at this point I’m annoyed and get ready to walk back upfront to my car. She then says $20 is for special oil- I said I don’t want special oil. Ma’am regular oil will do. She than said ok $10 tip only. Paid in advance. I get told to get on this table no sheet to cover me, face town smelled like mildew. She began my massage with no oil at all 10minutes into it I was ready to go & $52 dollars wasted.
