This local gem was just what we needed after a long stint of amateur “House Hunters: Atlanta.” We started our day at 4am by driving down from Illinois to search for a new home. After scouring the area all day, we decided to give something local a try. We were in dire need of reprieve and Three Dollar Cafe’s outdoor patio did not disappoint! We were promptly greeted at the door by the manger, Thomas, who led us to the seats of our choice, as he took interest in how we had spent the day. Once he learned that we were relocating, he took his time sharing details about the area and answering our extensive list of questions. Needless to say, he made us feel right at home. The patio quickly filled up with patrons, but nonetheless; our server, Cynthia, continued to deliver excellent and personalized service as our dinner dwindled and turned into a relaxing evening, as we enjoyed the perfect Spring evening with a couple tall ones we selected from their extensive list of draft beer - while others enjoyed the array of tunes, participated in patio games, and visited over dinner. Oh, dinner! Who can forget dinner? We started off with the fried green tomatoes - incredible! I would have to say they were the best I’ve ever had - homemade included; thinly sliced and deep fried to perfection. And the spicy/tangy sauce complimented them well. Now...the wings... First of all, let me explain: We make it a point to try wings as we travel. Now, we haven’t had all the wings in Atlanta, but these...in our opinion, they just might be able to hold their title of “Atlanta’s Best Wings in 30 years.” They certainly are a contender on our “favorite wings” list. I highly recommend the buffalo sauce. Also, the shrimp were great with and without the sauce. No matter where we decide to move in the Atlanta area, one thing’s for sure; we will we back to spend more relaxing reprieves on Three...
Read moreI didn't eat the food. My cousin said her burger was terrific. We sat in the area in the back. I saw the storage totes, and it felt like we were being thrown in the back. It throws me off if I see things in an area that shouldn't be there. It's felt like putting them in that back out of our way.
It was my cousin's first restaurant/ lounge experience. She is 23 and has never experienced it, but the waiter made her experience unique. I believe his name was Mikey. He has a beautiful spirit. He even sang Happy Birthday. I would have given them four or three because of the host placement of our table. There were plenty of seats in the front, and she walked us straight to the back. I am more of an observer, and I read the energies, so I felt the reason for her putting us in the back.
✨️I am grateful to have met Mikey. He is a beautiful young man, so her negative placement was a blessing. If you are ever there, sit in his section. He is also a master barber, working at the barbershop nearby. Ask him for his number. He has a fantastic following for his artistic hair-cutting style on TikTok. I wish I had remembered his page name. Go check him out. He has a beautiful smile and is easy to look at. He was the best waiter I have ever encountered. If I needed a haircut, I would have asked for his number. I took his 📸 because I wanted to remember him for my review. He didn't know I would use it, but it was a great service that deserves to be recognized. Thanks, Mikey! ✨️
FYI: Tuesday is karaoke, and he said he would be there. If Mikey ever leaves, I won't return because of the energy I felt from the host. It...
Read moreThe management last night SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!!
Called ahead of time to find out when kitchen closed. Came in before 11:30 they told me I had till 12am to order then I tried to order and they told me the kitchen closed before 11.
You all should not have penalized me for your lack of professionalism you all have going on between the kitchen and management.
OK, let’s talk about human decency. Yesterday I was told my father was diagnosed with cancer. I was very sad so I wanted to come for a drink, but I also needed to provide my household with food because that’s my job. I called ahead of time to see what time kitchen closed I was told 1215. I arrived in the building prior to 1130. I made my intentions known that I was ordering food to go. They told me I had till 12am… see all the descrepancy starting….
I ordered two drinks and a six piece wing just so I wouldn’t be intoxicated when I left . When I went to place my food order apparently they decide to close the kitchen early. They would not serve me my food even though they told me when I called ahead of time, the kitchen would close at 12:15 and when I was in the building, they told me I could still order food up until 12
I’m just gonna say that’s not right. Apparently, the GM Laura was in the building and she did not care. I left, I paid but this night will forever hold a bad taste in my mouth for how this was handled while I was grieving.
What’s that quote? You might not remember what someone said but you’ll always remember how they made you feel.
I wrote this review while sitting in the drive-through at Wendy’s. Your management...
