I purchased the Groupon to go try out a massage for the first time. This spa had good reviews and seemed promising. When I called to make an appointment the woman on the phone asked me how much I had paid for my Groupon. 1. It’s their business, shouldn’t they know their Groupon rates? Why does it matter how much I paid? I explained that it was for a 60 minute deep tissue massage and she continued to push me about what price I had paid for it. As we were on the phone, I asked if I could make an appointment anytime in the afternoon tomorrow. She did not offer me any times. I asked again, and she said “well what time would you like to come?” I recommended 4 o’clock, but told her my schedule was flexible to do a different day or time if needed. She then told me that I could make an appointment but that they could not guarantee they would get around to seeing me. What? Why would you schedule an appointment for that time if you don’t have time to see me? I reminded her I could do another date or time that worked better for her. She said that they could not guarantee they would have time to fit me in on any date or at any specific time. She told me I would have to come in and wait for other in customers to have their turns first. Even if she made me an appointment she told me there was no promise they would be able to get to me and I might have to wait if other customers need that time. The entire phone call was unprofessional and made zero sense. Sounds like they are mistreating their Groupon customers because we do not pay the full price for the service. They should be upholding their groupons and offering the same level of service to all customers. I have never had a massage before, but have lower back problems from working in dentistry and constantly leaning over my patients. I was hoping to try them out with the groupon and then become a regular customer if I had a good experience. After the phone conversation alone I will never attend this spa and I will be returning the Groupon in favor of a different spa that treats all customers fairly...
Read moreI wanted to give a fair review. I have fibromyalgia bad and I also workout hard and lift heavy. So I’m always in pain. I don’t rate many massage places 5 stars. (And I’m including my experiences at all of the exclusive spas in uptown) I have been here before. I haven’t been back in awhile because we have some awesome ladies near me that are amazing. I occasionally need a back up when they are full and this place is a great alternative. They actually charge a 3 dollar fee which is more typical for those that do pass that cost on. They also charge prior to service, which although uncomfortable and uncommon probably due to be jipped one too many times. However all prices seemed fair. There was even an extra bonus hot stone massage that made the experience better. The ladies here know how to locate pain points without being told and are able to work the body out pretty decently in one session hitting critical areas and often missed areas like tummy that we all really do need. I highly rate this place and I’ve been everywhere. So tbh although it might not be your preferred experience the massage and price are top notch for the service. I will...
Read moreYou can go to many 5 Star resorts and never get the Massage you will at Healing Massage in McKinney, Texas. Every therapist is able to deliver healing results.
Leah, is my favorite therapist but truly, any therapist you work with will provide a great massage and do it in an organized fashion.
You also will be treated with hot stone and towel therapy gratis.
It has been a while since my last massage and I can truly say you cannot beat the therapists here. My longtime therapist Leah was busy but recommended a new therapist named EWA. Oh, gosh, she is fabulous. I always start for just 30min with a new therapist but after just 5 minutes, I knew I wanted to splurge on a 120Min session and did so. Everything below that I said still goes and I was so pleased with the new therapist EWA, who has 15 years experience and is new to Texas from the San Francisco area. Give her a shot and you will be very happy you did.
Yes, you pay for the treatment ahead of the therapy but you also pay only the tip afterwards.
I can’t tell you how many people I hear start with 30 minutes and then ask for a longer session. Give them a try. You...
