We decided to take our kids and friends here when we woke up to a rainy day for one of my kids' birthday pool party. I called in the morning with a list of questions and they were able to tell me what to expect and plan. However when we got there they needed each kid to have a waiver signed by the parent and also needed some parent information to put into the system. This was an important bit of information that would've been great to know BEFORE we got there with excited kids wanting to jump in the pool. I had to message each parent and have them get it sent in while we waited. Some of the parents had gone out for "date night" while their kiddos were with us for the party. It was a difficult and frustrating situation. However, once the kids got in they had a blast. It wasn't terribly busy so they were able to play and enjoy themself. It's unfortunate they close the pool 30-minutes before the facility actually closes. I realize the employees want to get home as well but it would've been nice to use the pool until close. Not sure if we'll go back but we enjoyed our...

Gabe nesbitt sure hits home for me. I have been going there for 6 years and I have a heck of a lot of things to say about it. First is the bathrooms, ahh the bathrooms... They are DISGUSTING! Oh my "innocent" mind has been scarred. Never the same. There isn't even a mirror for me to check out my hair that I haven't washed in 5 days. They have no soap. Beetles are usually having a party in the sink. The floor has rats on it all the time. Ok I need to calm down now. The playground is just basic. Nothing new. A slide or two, monkeybars. And some stairs. But parents need to be responsible and watch their kids. On the slide the kids sit at the bottom and that makes me really mad! One day I got so mad a child wouldn't move so I went down the slide and hit him right in the hiney. His mom saw and got mad at me. So you best believe I whipped her too. I ran. Ran home. But that's really all. I mean fields are nice. Animals are alowed. Nice concrete area. Lots of coverage. You know....

Multiple lighted baseball/softball fields (with some covered seating), tennis courts, tennis center, skate park, biking/walking trails, concession stand with restrooms, parking lots scattered throughout the different areas (over 150 acres of park space). I take Charlie to one of the fields off Alma when it's empty, shut the gates, and let his little legs run till they can't run anymore. The new PSA (90,000 square foot indoor sports complex) located at the Eldorado entrance to Gabe Nesbitt has brought more foot traffic through the park, I believe. I am excited about the next complex addition...the aquatic center which is scheduled to open in 2016; it'll be an 80,000 square foot aquatics and fitness facility that will include a gymnasium, sports courts with an elevated track, childcare, classrooms, locker rooms and an outdoor leisure pool with 10,000 square feet of surface water...all seemingly seamlessly integrated into the Gabe Nesbitt Park area....

We love Gabe Nesbitt. Whether we are attending a baseball game at the Fields, exploring the grounds and gardens, or participating with a day pass at the water park. There is so much for anyone and any sport. It really is a community place. The fields are well maintained, the gym for indoor sports is clean, and staff at the door is attentive to the children. They won’t let kids just run around by themselves. Major plus! The courts are indoor and outdoor pickle and tennis courts. There is also the aquatic center with indoor and outdoor swimming. The gym has an indoor track, lots of classes, a clean locker room and day care. The football field and soccer fields are well maintained too. I love that there are playgrounds for the young kids at the fields. It makes it easy for parents who have to juggle watching the game and entertaining the little ones who don’t sit still for very long. The fields and the indoor courts have concessions with a lot of options.

Our kids have played baseball here for years. I love that they have playgrounds for the younger siblings that are centrally located. It makes a huge difference and allows us to actually watch the game while the younger kids are safely occupied and happy. They recently updated both playgrounds that are right by the upper and lower fields. The baseball fields are all very well maintained with plenty of seating and areas for your own chairs. They have wireless scoreboards through an app so you don't have to mess with picking up an electronic setup anymore. I wish there was a sign near the skatepark to let you know if the bathrooms are open so you know not to walk all the way there to only have to head back to the entrance to the fields or go elsewhere if you are at the playground by the tennis courts. Not sure why the bathrooms there are closed so often.

I simply love Gabe Nesbitt Park. Its interesting, I love it for not what it is today, moreso the potential. Just recently the City Of McKinney decided to invest money into the Park again. There is so much land, there are endless possibilities. Currently its has a skateboard park, a Tennis Facility, many baseball and soft ball fields. Just recently they advertising the are having a winter wonderful exhibit. I'm so excited.
