We decided to take our kids and friends here when we woke up to a rainy day for one of my kids' birthday pool party. I called in the morning with a list of questions and they were able to tell me what to expect and plan. However when we got there they needed each kid to have a waiver signed by the parent and also needed some parent information to put into the system. This was an important bit of information that would've been great to know BEFORE we got there with excited kids wanting to jump in the pool. I had to message each parent and have them get it sent in while we waited. Some of the parents had gone out for "date night" while their kiddos were with us for the party. It was a difficult and frustrating situation. However, once the kids got in they had a blast. It wasn't terribly busy so they were able to play and enjoy themself. It's unfortunate they close the pool 30-minutes before the facility actually closes. I realize the employees want to get home as well but it would've been nice to use the pool until close. Read moreGabe nesbitt sure hits home for me. I have been going there for 6 years and I have a heck of a lot of things to say about it. First is the bathrooms, ahh the bathrooms... They are DISGUSTING! Oh my "innocent" mind has been scarred. Never the same. There isn't even a mirror for me to check out my hair that I haven't washed in 5 days. They have no soap. Beetles are usually having a party in the sink. The floor has rats on it all the time. Ok I need to calm down now. The playground is just basic. Nothing new. A slide or two, monkeybars. And some stairs. But parents need to be responsible and watch their kids. On the slide the kids sit at the bottom and that makes me really mad! One day I got so mad a child wouldn't move so I went down the slide and hit him right in the hiney. His mom saw and got mad at me. So you best believe I whipped her too. I ran. Ran home. But that's really all. I mean fields are nice. Animals are alowed. Nice concrete area. Lots of coverage. You know....

I take Charlie to one of the fields off Alma when it's empty, shut the gates, and let his little legs run till they can't run anymore. The new PSA (90,000 square foot indoor sports complex) located at the Eldorado entrance to Gabe Nesbitt has brought more foot traffic through the park, I believe. I am excited about the next complex addition...the aquatic center which is scheduled to open in 2016; it'll be an 80,000 square foot aquatics and fitness facility that will include a gymnasium, sports courts with an elevated track, childcare, classrooms, locker rooms and an outdoor leisure pool with 10,000 square feet of surface water...all seemingly seamlessly integrated into the Gabe Nesbitt Park area....
