After completing my purchase, I placed my wallet in my car and walked briefly past the exit area. Within less than a minute, I realized my wallet was missing. I immediately searched the area thoroughly — including the shopping cart I had used — multiple times. When I couldn’t find it, I approached the manager on duty (a young lady), but she showed little urgency or concern. Despite my request to review surveillance footage, she stated that she had only informed her superior and couldn’t check it herself. Given the seriousness of the situation — my ID and several cards were inside — I called the police. When the officer arrived, even he noticed that the manager had not yet contacted her supervisor.
About 30 minutes later, I received a call from the same manager stating that my wallet had been “found in a cart.” She claimed that someone must have reused my cart, taken it outside, and left it there, and that an employee discovered the wallet inside. However, I find this explanation very questionable: I had checked my cart three times before contacting anyone. I had left the cart inside the store, not outside. The timing of the wallet being “found” only after the police arrived raises doubts about how this was handled. If I were in a managerial position, I would treat such incidents with immediate priority, personally verifying surveillance footage and ensuring transparency with both the customer and law enforcement.
I respectfully request that you: Review surveillance footage between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM On Diwali OCT 20th, 2025, especially near the exit and cart return area. Document this incident and investigate the sequence of events thoroughly. Ensure store staff are trained to handle theft or lost-property cases with urgency, empathy, and accountability.
This situation caused unnecessary stress and made me feel disregarded during a moment of genuine concern. I hope this matter is taken seriously to prevent similar experiences for...
Read moreThis grocery store is an excellent choice for those seeking Indian vegetables and a variety of other Indian products, including snacks, rice, lentils, pickles (achaar), and spices. Their frozen food section offers an extensive selection ranging from nans and chapatis to idlies and samosas. They also stock frozen coconut and a variety of cut frozen vegetables.
They also sell cookware specifically designed for Indian cooking, such as pressure cookers and Dosa pans. They also have other silver and copper utensils. Additionally, Patel Brothers produces and sells their own chapatis, which are decent enough (there are a few varieties to choose from). They also offer a range of curries, samosas and puffs, allowing you to choose from several options. Personally, I did not like the puffs because it almost had no masala filling but the samosas are definitely worth a try.
The quality of vegetables is generally good, although occasionally you may come across older produce that may not be worth purchasing. This depends on the demand and supply on their shelves.
In addition to groceries, they offer Indian-style brooms for floor sweeping and stock popular noodle brands such as Maggi and Top Ramen. Furthermore, they carry a wide variety of rice options.
Patel Brothers has their own brand called "Swad," offering a diverse range of products. They have recently started selling freshly cooked naans, including garlic naan, although I cannot vouch for their taste and quality at this time(I have not tried it myself). They have make and sell their own Indian snacks (not many varieties but worth a try)
Overall, this store is an excellent option for obtaining a wide array of Desi groceries, as they carry almost all the essential items you may need.
