Edit: with all due respect I pointed out how you were fostering negativity in your " community which I don't even think you're from around here are you? Obviously not you're one of those Interlopers. the owner responded in ten minutes. Less than minimal time required to evaluate what I said. Nice work. I won't be spending any more money here that's for for sure especially after you just unwelcome to me for commenting about you vacuuming up in my face you don't disgusting that is dispute dust in someone's face when they came to your establishment to spend money you're ridiculous you know that you're an absolute fool. Someone needs to tell you that I feel like you've been told a million times already
Cool place because I love candy ...umm but staff could definitely use some training they're so off-putting and awkward. Like how you going to make candy so sad,!?!?!, but that's what your staff does it make everything very very sad. WAS THAT YOUR ENDGAME?They took a happy place and made it sad cuz their lives are apparently miserable and everyone that comes into your store must understand how miserable their lives actually are and apparently that's what they're getting paid to do like a method actor? Cool play and drama but we want to shop we don't really need to be drawn into your morose drama. I just can't how did you find every single person nd person in medina. But you know what I shouldn't be so mad that you only hire those people that's good someone needs to. Congrats! Honestly I don't want to buy candy or toys or anything else where people are this miserable. Do u need to be more selective or pay them more.. what's the problem? Well it's not my problem cuz they literally sell candy everywhere I don't NEED to go here to buy it. It's actually more of a hassle than anything else or anywhere else I've purchased candy and toys in the last 8 years. Just saying someone needs to tell you I don't need some kid giving me dirty look when I'm trying to buy candy for my kid or run the vacuum right in front of me in your entire Giant Store and you're not closing for another hour but the guy decided to vacuum right in front of me I've never seen7 anything that creepy in my life. I don't feel safe for you my child here to be honest you know what I'm done I'm glad I wrote this review we can literally go buy candy and toys anywhere I don't even need to leave my house lol....
As far as the vacuum thing goes I was trying to purchase a $200 Lego for my child and some random Fatso comes it starts vacuuming right in front of me in my kid literally almost knocked me over. Seriously you need to have a conversation with your staff that is unacceptable I'm not going to buy any Legos at your store cuz you know who else sells Legos everybody else. Wow so rude go check your camera and watch how they treat your people the ones that are supposed to be giving you money your staff is taking your money and treating your customers like idiots. By the way this happened both times we came in your store and you weren't closing for an...
Read moreThis was my first time in this store and unfortunately last time. While the store had a large selection of collectibles and was well organized its customer service was subpar hence why I only rated it 2 out of 5 stars. The prices were also high for most of the items, well above eBay for 70 percent of the items I saw. The staff also needed more training especially the manager who didn’t know what she was doing and gave me conflicting information. She discouraged me from making a purchase and tried to tell me to just buy off the website instead which made no sense as I took my time to visit the store in person. Her lack of service made me walk out without making a substantial purchase. I also felt some racial bias based off of how I was treated compared to my observation on how other customers were treated in the store. I felt unwelcome, was given attitude and I left the store feeling like the manager did not want my business. I hope the manager receives more training and the store does a better job at updating their prices to be more constant with fair market. I hope this review is taken serious and not dismissed as many of the other reviews on here. Again sales were lost due to the poor customer service provided and making me feel uncomfortable. This store should be a safe space for all not just some.
Update: The response provided by Sweets and Geeks shows they are not welcoming. The passive aggressive tone and attempt to dismiss my feedback because I’m from out of town is not needed. The manager did in fact provide misleading information. She was discouraging and dismissive. You can try to justify her actions all you want but my experience is my experience. Furthermore, no one said your a flea market however your employee clearly said I can speak to the manager about prices due to me wanting to make a large purchase and observing your prices being way above market. Also the funko event you mentioned did not apply to my purchase as it was only applicable to new items so make sure when you’re setting the record straight you provide all the facts. Oh and she only texted you because I asked as she kept saying she was new and didn’t know anything about Funko. Had I not been persistent she would not have reached out to you. In terms to your comment about haggling I find your comment off base. The same method your company uses to buy items was being implemented in me wanting to purchase an item from you which was using fair market sales ( current ebay sold prices) but you want to try to twist it on me. So it’s good enough for you to use it to justify your buy offers but not good enough for me to use it when making a purchase ? Make it make sense. It’s clear your customer service needs work and instead of taking in the feedback you receive and learning from it you’re quick to try to knock it down...
Read moreI actually really like this store and would even recommend it to anyone. I am however, just very discouraged, because I had been saving the "bottle caps" over the course of around two or so years and apparently they expire? Guess I didn't read the fine print or something... This was my go to place to build a collection of various gaming supplies such as paints and dice, I was coming as often as every other week or so at a point in time, moreso last summer. Finally after building most of my collection of paints and such, I was also nearing that maximum bonus of the 25 bucks or so? Was looking forward to hitting that reward level and putting it towards a cool board game to play with friends. Needless to say, when I went in today and bought a few things and got home and checked my email, whelp I guess I lost these points at some point there, because it's starting from scratch again. I've spent hundreds of dollars here in the last couple years, you would think if you sign up for the rewards and have your name on file these points wouldn't be like a coupon expiring at XYZ date, but more like... points you earned on your store account and would you know... just stay there until you use them? If I got some warning email I must have missed it but I don't believe I did. I actually really would like to be reached out about this, as again I do really like your store, but it's just so incredibly discouraging that I didn't buy stuff fast enough or something. edit: canned PR response I guess, because I did follow up with that email and I got nothing back at all. I actually will be taking my business elsewhere and online after spending easily 400-500 dollars at this store the last 2 years or so. The rewards system is purposely convoluted. how do I keep track of points that last 6 months or whatever in a pool of points? writing down the exact dates? It's a joke. Already shopped online since the review for...
