First time here to experience the ice festival. Luckily it was just cold enough outside to keep the sculptures frozen and decent enough to walk around and enjoy. Some really cool sculptures. We did see a couple of the artist working on them, kind of at a slow pace. Had expectations that it would be like a cruise ship where that finish one in 15-20 minutes with chisels. Overall it was worth a couple hour drive to see them.

Great event for the whole family. It can get crowded, so just be mindful, patient, and kind. Lots of beautiful ice sculptures to see and if you plan accordingly, watch being made!
