September 16, 2023 this year was the first year in 10 years that I was harassed by the Shelby County Sheriff‘s about bringing a service dog into the festival with me. One sheriff deputy wanted to argue ADA laws and how the festival rules would not allow it, a second deputy showed up, then a third deputy showed up. Then a fourth deputy showed up and huddled near me. I told them they were incorrect and I was not going to argue the point with them. Read moreThis is a great festival showcasing some amazing artists and you can purchase their art and support some of these amazing people. The only thing that was disappointing and why I'm giving only four stars was the logo for the festival t-shirts were just weak for a festival that's celebrating art. I know Graffiti Graphics used to do the logo and I don't know why they don't anymore because it was always so well done! This Grind City graphics or whatever needs to reevaluate what they think is art. The logo for the t-shirt looks like it was done by a 12-year-old and maybe that's an insult to 12-year-olds. Read moreI got there in the morning around 9:30. As time went on it got crowded & hotter in temperature. Everyone was fanning themselves with free fans. Expect to stay longer if you have more people with you, plan to eat & enjoy the live entertainment. Many vendors, from vintage, rustic decor, soaps, things for the kiddos, fashion, succulants, homemade breads, bakery items, honey, beer, corn dogs, vegetarian items, comfort foods. Great time. Drink a lot of water, wear comfortable shoes...& an umbrella to keep the sun away, unless you want to tan before the fall season arrives. Hope this...
