Margaritas of Cooper — Restaurant in Memphis

Decided to try this restaurant while in the suburb. As I walked in, I noticed a sign stating an 18% gratuity would automatically be applied. I'm ok with that providing the service matches which in this case it did not.

Firstly, after being seating it took about 10 minutes for drinks to be ordered. Was provided with corn chips and salsa at this time, and these were pretty tasty. Server came back and took our order when drinks eventually arrived.

After a fair bit of time, one meal was delivered without cutlery. After waiting 5 minutes, i asked for some, and we were given plastic cutlery....wtf.... and still waiting for the second meal to be delivered. About 8 minutes after the first main was delivered, the second meal arrived where I asked for some metal cutlery, which was provided.

The meal itself was tasty enough. However it had lost a fair bit of heat in the time between the meals different deliverytime.

Honestly the service was terrible, and I assume it's because they aren't working for tips. I definitely will not...

The food was awesome and the waitress we had on 8/19/23 was great. We went out for our anniversary, but at the end of our meal we went to go pay and their card reader wasn't working correctly and they assumed it was on our end because he reset the WiFi for their machine. It still wouldn't accept our form of payment so my boyfriend had to walk across the street to get cash to pay for it. The man at the cash out area treated us like we didn't have the money to pay for our food because it wasn't working on their end so when my boyfriend went to go get cash the man looked at me and said you can just wait here like I didn't already know that. And when I was sitting at a table waiting for my boyfriend to come back the men went to go do something else and walked up to the bar and motioned to the bar tender to watch me. Like I was going to try and leave without paying. I was so insulted. I won't ever return to this specific margaritas again. Even though the food was amazing the insult overpowered the initial...

Disappointed. I've had delivery from another location before, and was happy with it, so gave this location a try for dine in. After sitting down in a half-full restaurant, there was a 10-minute wait just to have someone bring chips and take a drink order. Luckily, after a long wait, I also ordered food so I wouldn't wait even longer.

The vegetarian fajitas were described as mushrooms and squash along with the usual peppers and onions - yum! When I got it, the vegetables were swapped for (I assume) cheaper broccoli, cauliflower (gross), and carrots. After picking out the cauliflower, it wasn't bad, but not as good as described.

From a price standpoint, it was a little higher than other standard Mexican places in the same area, and the fajitas only came with 2 tortillas v the usual 3 for a dinner plate.

All in all, I wouldn't bother to go back. I prefer to get what is described in the menu without surprises, and it's not great...
