I got married three years ago and Cybele saved my wedding day! A mother of a friend of mine offered to do the alterations on my dress as a gift to me. She was a seamstress for years professionally and I traveled to have her alter my dress. I didn’t know it until I was there that she was struggling with arthritis and my dress required lots of hand stitching. Long story short, I got my dress back a week before the big day. It was too short. I couldn’t wear my heels or even flats without my feet showing while standing. I was so disappointed. After getting home I started calling everywhere I could within an hours drive to see if anyone could help me. With such a short timeframe to get it anywhere and needing it back so soon I wasn’t very hopeful. I ended up driving it to a dry cleaner and they attempted to steam and stretch it with no luck. I bought window weights and clothespin them to the bottom of the dress overnight in order to get a little ,ore length. Nothing worked. This happened numerous months ago and I am still in complete shock at what happened. I have never been treated so poorly by a businesswoman. She was rude and VERY unprofessional! I really don’t have to go into detail because she knows how unprofessional she was that day. The nonstop puppy dog apologies at the next appointment proved that. Shame on you lady!

I pointed out an issue and you instantly got rude and told me to sit down like a little child. You explained NOTHING at that moment, just got rude! She did my alterations but didnt like how she could see the buttons on my bustle bc I had a black dress and she used white/transluscent buttons so she told me she would replace the buttons and have it back to me by that Saturday ( I was leaving that Sunday) When I went to pick it up no one was there, it was closed, and no one answered the phone. After several frantic messages and a nice woman from the shop next door who helped me, she finally called me back stating that she was sick and someone shouldve called me to let me know. No one called me, my dress buttons were never replaced, and i had a mild meltdown trying to get my dress before I left.
