We came here with a large party on a Saturday evening, but we called ahead. When we got there, we basically stood in the way of the main entrance while group after group came through and got seated. After probably 15-20 minutes, they finally got us sat. The food was pretty good, all your standard buffet dishes, with sushi and hibachi style entrees. Lots of variety, most of the dishes were getting refilled often, but there were some I passed over. You know how buffets are. Anywho, service is terrible, especially if they're busy. We had like 6 kids and 10 adults or something and we all went up to the buffet and had eaten and some went up again, but a waitress never came by to take our plates, or refill our drinks. I wasn't sure which server was even ours, but eventually I saw her walk to the server area. That's when I realized she had been cleaning tables the whole time. When I realized she wasn't coming to our table, I finally got up and went to ask her for refills, and had to tell her which table was even ours. Now, they were busy, but no one ever even came and sat at the tables she was cleaning. She was just cleaning them for fun, while her huge table is thirsty?! Not only is the service lackluster, if you have a large party, apparently they make you PRE-TIP on your card, and they charge you like 20-22% gratuity (I didn't pay, but knew it ended up being a costly Chinese buffet dinner). I understand required gratuity for a large group, but we didn't get service, and isn't the point of a tip to do it after your meal? You know, put a little note on my receipt that says "18% gratuity added for large parties" or something. Not make me pay for lack of service up front. Especially since we spent a lot of money here. Last thing, stay away from the seafood. We saw a man at the mussels picking up the shells, scraping out the meat onto his plate, with his FINGER, and then putting the shell BACK IN THE PAN. Luckily none of us had any, and we were all done eating at that point. As with any buffet, visit at your own risk. But if I'm craving 25 different Chinese dishes, American food, chocolate cake, fresh fruit and salad, and ice cream, I would...
Read moreI was at Fuji yesterday with a group of 6 and we arrived at 3:20 pm which would have entitled us to the lunch prices based on their advertisement. When I paid I was told that because it was a group of 6 and that it was now 3:25 pm that I was going to pay the dinner prices instead because the sign was wrong and it was supposed to be a 3:25 cutoff. The associate I spoke with had zero interest in helping me and did not want to correct the mistake which was advertised in the restaurant. I think that this is horrible customer service and I even went back in the line after to listen in and the people who were behind me were also charged the same dollar as I was. When I asked for the manager to correct the mistake I was met with the same lady who charged me on the first place. I will never go back there again. And actually the food is terrible and the staff may seem friendly, but getting refills is a nightmare and the only time I had attention from the staff is when I was leaving and placed $40 down for a tip. ( Even when you are wronged at a restaurant you must still tip, it's not the waiters fault they work for crooks) and also the service was terrible, but you still take care of the little guy. Anyway. When I left they did crudely draw 3:25 over the menu vs the 3:30 which was already there, I am curious to see if...
Read moreHave been going to this establishment since it’s opening and have always had great experiences besides the obvious fruit flies scattered throughout the serving station and dinning tables. My recent experience however was less than pleasant. All was well until the end of our meal when two workers approached my friend and I before we left. The one who was clearing our table throughout the duration of our meal walked away while the new worker, long story short, pressured me to give them a tip. I had no cash on me from paying for the meal to begin with, but when I told her so, she informed me that I could put the tip on my card. Not only is it the first time I’ve been told that a tip was mandatory but it was the first time I’ve had a staff attempt to manipulate a costumer into feeling obligated to unnecessarily charge a costumers card a low amount after they initially paid and ate their meal, so that a server who never confronted neither my friend nor I, could have a tip on top of the minimum wage that they make. Keep in mind it’s a buffet. Where we feed ourselves. We serve ourselves and do all of the prep. The amount of time, from both my friend and I, that was wasted, by a worker blocking our way of exiting, was unnecessarily longer than it should have been because it simply should not...
