Our family has dined in and had take out many many times. We have stopped ordering take out because in our opinion the employees make smaller sushi rolls and portions for people ordering take out but charge the same. To me this is bad business. So now we dine in only. We love being sat at booths when we go out but the booths don’t allow much belly room if you are not a slim body frame and I don’t think the employees take this into account when they are seating customers. Our most recent visit was yesterday for dinner. When we got there, there was only 2 other groups of 2 there for dinner. We were sat at a booth which was a tight fit and the temperature was very comfortable but then they started to get busier and turned the temp down a lot so by the end of dinner it was colder. You could tell they were falling behind. They kept pumping out takeout orders while us customers sat without getting drinks or orders taken. A customer actually went and brought waters to people. Please staff your business better. We ordered salads, Crab Rangoon, crazy angels, ydm roll, and hibachi. I love their ginger dressing on their salads, their crab Rangoon is so thin and delicate with a nice amount of filling, Crazy angels is my go to order (you just get larger and better looking rolls dining in here which again bad business, the ydm roll my husband is a huge fan of. As for the hibachi that my husband ordered, we completed all our food and still waited 20 mins before my husband’s hibachi came out. At that point, we just asked for a box and the bill. We love this place. There are aspects they can work on and that’s my hope that they read this and improve. Please stop making your take out rolls smaller because we don’t always have time or are healthy enough to want to be out in public. I have included a picture of crazy angels with ydm in the background from last night. I wish I had an old picture of the same as a take out but for those of you that have ordered take out, I’m sure you can attest that they are not the same. We will continue to dine in occasionally but won’t ever order...
Read moreDisappointed by the Quality and Service
My husband and I recently dined at Blu Fin and, unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. While the food presentation was nice and the Vegas roll was delicious, the service and handling of a food quality issue left much to be desired.
Our server seemed rushed and pushy from the start, which made us feel hurried while placing our order. We ordered two hibachi dinners—my husband had the filet mignon and chicken with a side of grilled shrimp, and I had the filet mignon and lobster.
Shortly after the food arrived, I noticed the lobster had an extremely strong, unpleasant odor and an unmistakably fishy taste—clear signs that it was not fresh. I discreetly removed the lobster from my plate and informed our server when he returned. He took the plate back to the kitchen with a brief “oh, okay” and never returned with an apology, replacement, or any offer to make it right.
When we received the bill, I was surprised to see that I was still charged for the full lobster and filet mignon dish. I had assumed the lobster would be removed from the bill, considering it was inedible and had been acknowledged by the staff. Rather than argue, we paid and left quietly.
While I understand that not every dining experience will be perfect, I do expect a basic level of customer care and accountability—especially when it comes to food quality. Sadly, based on this visit, I won’t be...
Read moreHORRENDOUS! Started with a 20 minute wait at a bartenderless bar where the only people enjoying a cocktail were the employees. The employee being served alcohol by the female owner was the same waiter who spilled a glass of ice cold lemonade on our party when stumbling to our table. After mumbling an apology he came back to confirm our drink order we had already places at the bar, he then came back 10 minutes later to say the drinks will take too long to make so they won't make them and asked what else we wanted. We replied with bottled beer and wine. He then left and two minutes later our original drink order we were told was cancelled came. Followed by the beer and wine (we couldnt drink all of this). After placing our food order, he then came back to confirm it 2 more times (obviously we were ruining his buzz). After our meal we were surprised to see no attempt to discount the meal given the ice bath and the alcohol bill. I told the female manager/owner about our experience and not wanting to pay for the additional alcohol at the very least. She replied in her best broken English "I don't understand. Why would you punish me for his service?! That's not fair. Just don't tip him then!". I told her we will pay our bill but will never be back. She couldn't have cared less. If you want to be humiliated and pay top dollar to be treated like trash with your hard earned dollars to enjoy mediocre sushi this is the...
