Fahrens Park — Attraction in Merced

A great walking path to go with friends to enjoy walking in nature. The area is kept very clean, lawns are mowed regularly and kept green. The path is paved. I walk with other ladies that are also senior citizens and we find it a very pleasant place to take our walks and get our exercise. There is a stream that runs through the park with plenty of trees for shade. In the area near R Street there is a playground for children. Update: I hadn't been back to walk here in awhile. It's always a wonderful walk here at Fahrens! There's the smell of all the beautiful eucalyptus trees and the lovely stream. Alot of animal life to see..squirrels, ducks, geese, storks, beavers and there are benches throughout. A place with a canopy to host a birthday party or BBQ. This place is full of spots to take beautiful pictures but the bridge is where people live to take professional photos. Be forwarned there are no restrooms in site.
