Oh VOLTA This show is unlike any other Cirque Du Soleil show I've seen yet. This show has everything you expect from a Cirque show and more. The show has high flying aerialist and acrobats performing hoop diving, rings and even slackline. Jump ropers who go as fast as the light on the rope - and BMX riders that can perform tricks on their bikes that will leave your jaw on the ground.
This show incorporates technology in the show with the lighting and use of projection on the stage to show "memories". The show is well constructed and has a great storyline behind it.
The greys, the free spirits, and the super elites. The costumes in this show are unique with each grouping mentioned above, as each costume has a different representation.
The music in the show is great, it is something that can be listened to often and you would not know that it belongs to a Cirque Du Soleil show.
The Grand Chapiteau (the big top) is designed differently than the traditional colors of the big top which are usually a yellow gold and a dark blue. Volta has a grey big top tent and then they associate with lights so the tent changes colors which are neat to see at night time.
The show is great for a girls night out, date night with a significant other or a day out with the kiddos. Just remember to find your...
Read moreA great show. As always the performers make the best acrobatics look easy. I hadn't been to a Cirque show in several years, and really enjoyed going again. The circus itself is very cleverly organized -- for example the washroom and handwashing facilities. It was also clever to locate the circus in the Uber lot - you end up the right place. BTW, the downside was that you would have had to pay Dolphin Stadium parking proves to self park - $25! The criticism of the Cirque is that the seating is too flat, there are kids, and steeper seating would help everyone enjoy the details in the performance. That is one thing that really sets Cirque apart, the elaborate lighting, costumes and set make for a spectacular experience. But the immersive experience is ruined everytime the person sitting in front...
Read moreI've been to 6 different shows from cirque du soleil. They all are fantastic (La Nouba, Alegría, Dralion, Quidam, Volta. .. ).
The last one I went thou (Volta, in Grand Chapiteau at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami), wasn't the best. It was pretty, but by far the least... Fantastic? Not sure if it's the location, the tent, or the show itself needs more work. The good: This show is a very small tent compared to others, so no matter what ticket you buy, you'll get a great view of the show. Just don't buy the cheapest, those are in a far corner on the side, not sure if those watch everything. But I always walk out their shows with my Wow jaw dropping face... This time I didn't. And I heard the same comment from other people. I really really hope that cirque du soleil isn't loosing...
