It's 255 pm right now and I placed 1 order for a Philly cheesesteak egg roll on my first visit to this place. OMG I WILL NEVER EVER go back and I'm sure the management could care less. I'm not a loud or disrespectful man by no means and I and a very respectful person who never attracts attention but wow. My ticket says I ordered at 205pm and I'm still waiting at 255. I sat next to the window while waiting, fell asleep woke up went to the counter just in case I missed my name being called. I didnt miss it and when i advised the young lady who took my order that the 15-20 min wait she told me it should take had since passed she told she just takes the orders. I sat back down but another customer sitting next to me said that the wait here is long but the food is good. I replied that I'm extremely easy to deal with I dont expect fast food but almost an hour for an egg roll has to be cause for concern on anyones radar. About 10 minutes later my name was called and was handed my food, no apologies no excuses just take what we give you as we took your money and go. Was the food good? It was outstanding but the service and customer service was awful. Definitely do not expect anything resembling customer service at this place. I expected more but then again I forgot during that visit that "my people" act that way in business. To smile or offer an apology for an excessive wait or anything sub par is beyond their level of service. I wasn't at Chick-fil-a and I wasn't in Weston . So sad that this had to be my first time experience especially since I told the employee that as I was ordering. As a business owner/manager I would always try my best to satisfy EVERY customer within reason particularly my first timers but I guess since the people won't stop coming then someone doesn't see a reason to give nothing above the lowest form of customer service possible. Once again the egg roll...
Read moreSo I really went back and forth on what rating I would give this restaurant based on my experience.
Atmosphere: The restaurant itself I very nice and spacious. It is big enough to sustain quite a bit of eat in patrons and still house space for people simply waiting for the food. The décor is nice as well and they play a nice variety of music.
Staff: Everyone that I encountered was really nice and helpful. They were knowledgeable of the menu and assisted me with my indecisiveness. This is me at every new restaurant.
Food: I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and Grand Bahama eggrolls. The Grand Bahama had an additional $2 and some change price tag that isn't displayed but I paid because I wanted it but they really should display that like they have for the seafood deluxe and spring veggie eggroll. Perhaps they just haven't had the opportunity to do so yet. Both eggrolls were dry but that wasn't so bad honestly. What bothered me was the toughness to chew it. The conch inside of the grand Bahama eggroll looked like old fried conch. I am not sure if these rolls are prepared and then frozen but if so perhaps that contributed to it. Despite that when I bit into, it was very flavorful and I the sauce enhanced the flavor. It was a ying yang sauce. Honestly the red colored one was better. I wonder if you can just get that one by itself. The Philly eggroll was ok. I only got it because I had a philly eggroll before from somewhere else and wanted to compare it. There was no comparison. The other one wasn't dry like this one and it had the peppers and the cheese was gooey. Very delicious.
Overall, this is a nice restaurant and I would definitely come back to try that griot complete eggroll, the wings and their fries that everyone...
Read moreThe eggrolls are aight. They a decent size and got some decent flavor. Nothing like to call ya mommas momma about though. Also had the wings with red velvet waffles, wings were cool but waffles straight trash as f🤬ck. Waffles don’t come nowhere near Waffle House tier which is the best; waffles were dry as hell and not fluffy, waffles did not taste like red velvet cake at all, waffles actually didn’t even have a flavor. Maybe if they put more of that decorative icing on the waffle it could give it some flavor but it doesn’t matter, waffle is dry as hell cheap quality like probably what they serve prisoners on waffle Wednesday breakfast. Strawberrry lemonade was aight, but not sweet enough to warrant the price they sell it for. Cheesecake isn’t necessarily bad but isn’t too good for what flavors they sell it as and how it looks. Cheesecake pretty thick and dryish too. Recipe for it must not be soft and decadent. I had the banana pudding and the Oreo cheesecake before and was let down because my favorite dessert is cheesecake and I expected it to be soft, full of dairy flavor like the cream cheese and heavy milk but it remind me of that store bought cheesecake in its congealed consistency.
Egg rolls: 7/10 Chicken: 7.5/10 Dry Red velvet waffles: -1/10 Kinda dryish cheesecake: 6.5/10 Decent strawberry lemonade: 6.5/10 Charging any amount of money for some hot sauce: -1/10
Would I return? If I eat at the other restaurants a lot in the area and I’m desiring something I haven’t had in a while I would return. But it needs to be some improvement on some of the recipes. Just a little...
