Miami Shores Aquatic Center (Private Facility for Residents of Miami Shores Village and BHI Residents Only) — Attraction in Miami Shores

I’ve lived in Miami shores for 11 years and hosted my birthday party’s numerous times for both my kids, but this year was completely different. The party was from 3 to 5:30 I got there at 2:45 and nothing was setup, no tables no chairs I had to complain to get them to do it. Once my guest arrived they complained about them not being from Miami shores, which to my understanding Bal harbour citizens are welcomed…once proof was shown they lived in bal harbour the manager said it was fake and that they didn’t live there. Embarrassing my guest and making them feel horrible, every kid that attended that party are my daughters’ classmates from Miami shores Presbyterian school. I can’t believe of all people the manager is the rudest and most disrespectful of the staff. We were even kicked out 30 minutes early because they had an event at 6, which has nothing to do with me and doesn’t meet what I paid for. Didn’t have a good experience. First time going, called in advance and asked about entry to the pool prior to taking the trip. I wasn’t told anything about a price. I was told if I am located in miami shores I could have entry. My address ends in “Miami shores Fl 33138”. Arrived with my ID and light bill… was told on the fl.gov website it’s considered unclaimed miami dade so it’s not considered miami shores although my address says MIAMI SHORES FL. Paid the measly 8 dollars after the boy in the window didn’t tell me until after I was in the pool that I had to pay. And then proceeded to say “oh I thought you were just going to check it out” ummm??? On top of that if you’re not a resident you can only swim in the lap part of the pool. No open area or...

I went here with a couple friends and my son because it's right next to the beach you need to be Miami residence which we are but my friends flown into Miami. I didn't think it would be a problem. They did let us in first time their advertisement was wrong said it was close to the beach. It was five minutes from there. It had a kitty waterslides. A splash pool. They did have a big pool. Bathrooms were dirty they had no food no nothing and then they wouldn't let us sit in the lounge chairs because they said you need to reserve the lounge chairs. I said I paid to come in here.
