The sad part about this all is, the unprofessionalizm. Especially during a trying time as such, "My Sister's" Repast. From beginning to end. Sometimes...just Sometimes the apologies are not sufficient to accommodate the repeated mishaps. I try hard to support BLACK BUSINESSES, but I promise it is the very unprofessional, attitudes of the people trusted to care for our businesses and customers, where we seem to always fall short. I had two people inquire info. on the hall on Saturday for their own future events, I now have to respond informing both that this hall is definitely NOT a recommendation to anyone I am affiliated with due to the shame, discuss, and horrific experience my family has had to encounter here. So at this point, let me apologize for even deciding to use this...

An incredible link to Miami history right here in Miami. The staff is so kind and knowledgable and accomodating, so be sure to say hello and ask questions and you'll definitely leave inspired and with new friends! I had the good fortune of visiting on a night when Zynzelay gave a soulful performance in her tribute to Abbey Lincoln. Not only was the music world class, but I'm now inspired to learn more about Abbey. The facility and its many exhibits will cause you to reflect a great deal on our social history and the meaning of life and make you want to contribute a great deal more to the social fabric of our nation. Thanks to all who hosted us and made a night of entertainment a great learning experience and renewed my faith in the power of hope and faith and...

Love this place. Starting with the architecture and followed by the history of this Hotel / Motel of an era where black and white folks were legally separated. The best have stayed here. Malcom C, Muhammad Ali, James Brown or Mr. King. They have all been there and it’s worth visiting the “gimme shelter” exhibition. The only place that didn’t make the cut is the “theater “ part of the building. It has been renovated with a flair of a moser day train station. It’s a shame they couldn’t keep the original glamour of the place. It’s as cozy as an emergency room of a university hospital. Other than that. Go visit it in the morning when it’s lit up by the morning sun. It’s a really...

There are many events held at the restored Historic Hampton House. However, just being there walking the hallowed grounds where famous, and well to do African Americans called their vacation spot gives you a surreal feeling. It was during a time of segregation where entertainers and activists mingled, including the likes of Muhammad Ali, Aretha Franklin, Dr. King, Sammy Davis, Jr., and others, found refuge and fun in the South. It was here in this space where the magic happened. If you walk around and listen, you can almost hear their laughter, and their conversations in the silence. The Historic Hampton House is indeed a national treasure.
