Miami 🌴 The withdrawal symptoms from this hotel are too strong 😭

I have absolved this place!! Let me start by saying that the staff, with one exception, Alejandro P. at 0510 this morning (Tuesday, 27 August 2024), have been amazing!! And Tia, she should be promoted, given a raise, and never let her go…as she has been your best employee, by far!! Everyone else was great as well, but Tia totally rocks for you guys!! Plus our dog, Ruthie, loves Tia!! The food was good! The atmosphere was great!! The location is fantastic! The Valet people are great! I would highly, highly recommend this place and Kay and I will be coming back! The only reason that they get 5-stars on Service is because of Alejandro P. at the front desk this morning at 0510!! We got up and were in search of coffee. The coffee pot in our room doesn’t work, and we didn’t complain about it because we could come downstairs and grab coffee (no problem). Well, we came downstairs earlier than usual this morning, and there was just cold coffee from the night before. So we tried to find someone…nobody around to be found! The Valet was helping us (he was awesome)! He was unable to find the guy. He finally knocked at the door, and finally the guy, Alejandro opens it…he has bed head. His hair is a total mess! His face is not awake. He has trouble focusing his eyes. But he gets up and comes out. Yes, looking like we just said… We ask for coffee and he tells us to “go sit till 6!” We tell him that we need coffee now. He says, “No. at 6!” We tell him that we have work this morning. Can he make a pot? He says, “No!” Then we say, fine…can we get a coffee pot from you because the one in our room doesn’t work? Alejandro says, “No!” We say to him well we will have to check out them. He says, “Okay!” We then tell him that everyone in this hotel has been amazing, except you! And he says, “Okay!” So I asked for his name…I also told him that you shouldn’t be asleep on the job! He comes back with “I wasn’t!” And I tell him then you should tell your face, your hair, and your clothes that because they all were!! And, if it weren’t for the Valet hunting you down, and knocking on the door (as the Valet even said that “I must be the only one at work here!”) that you wouldn’t get up until you have to help out out breakfast at 0600! Alejandro P. REFUSED to get us a coffee pot!! He REFUSED to make a pot of coffee or even a cup of it!! He REFUSED to help at all and way to go ahead and leave the hotel, basically as he made sure that we knew that he could care less about us as guests of the Hilton Garden Inn!! So that is my one and only complaint!! You will absolutely love it here!! But, don’t deal with Alejandro P. or you won’t be happy!! We will be back! I just hope to NOT have to see Alejandro P. again or to have him get remedial training so that he is a better employee and promotes the Hilton brand (as right now, he drove it into the ground for us!)!!

Not a good experience for me and my family. Let’s start with the beginning. The staff at the door was friendly and welcoming. We were told about the restaurant in the lobby and informed that it would be open till 9pm and informed about the continental breakfast starting at 7am. After checking in we headed up to the room. The room was pretty basic. Nothing special. The staff must have not cleaned the room very thoroughly because we discovered a dirty bra sitting in the closet. In the morning, we headed down to get breakfast and we found out that the breakfast was not complimentary. It was an additional 15 dollars. So we decided to return to our room and and order a cooked to order meal. Called it in and was called shortly after to inform me that the food was ready and to come back to the lobby to pick it up. I arrived back in the lobby and was handed my food. Well some of it. As for the rest of the food, I was invited to pack a Togo box with the fruit from the buffet and the bagel which I had to toast on my own. I just find it confusing that I paid $30 for breakfast and still had to prepare half of it on my own and go down and pick it up myself. The coffee in the lobby had coffee grounds all in it and was completely undrinkable. They did have a keurig in the room but the only k cups they had in here was decaf and tea. I thought hotels was a part of the service industry. I did not feel like I was given service congruent with the price I paid for a night stay here. I find it hard to find a single redeeming quality of this hotel. All in all, I wish I would not have booked here. I would have rather stayed further away from the cruise port and had a better experience for a similar price.

I arrived here around 7:45pm on a Thursday to check in for a one night stay. Myself and 2 others are going a weekend cruise out of Port Miami. I stayed in the car during check in as we had dinner reservations and the others needed to change. After dinner, we arrived back to valet parking. The room was beautiful and clean. I had a long day and I was ready to go to sleep, honestly lol. There’s a night flat screen tv in the room, which all the normal amenities, including a microwave. There is a cute bedside reading light that moves. Unfortunately, one side doesn’t work at all. The other works perfectly fine. They serve continental breakfast buffet for $14.95. They also have individual items as well. There is a bar and restaurant at the hotel. I did not make use of either of those. The snacks and alcohol in the lobby is hella expensive, so stop somewhere and get your own. I didn’t get to try the breakfast. My room had a balcony. It was a little difficult to open the door but I got it. The balconies connect, so it’s not entirely safe. Be sure to lock the door while you’re sleep. The bed was comfy and I slept great. This was just a one night stay as I went on a cruise the following day. The staff I encountered, included valet, was friendly. There isn’t anything within short walking distance. I did end up walking about 15-20 minutes to a gas station to get something to drink. The weather was nice and it was peaceful.

Our stay at Hilton Garden Inn Miami - Brickell was pleasant. The staff (valet, front desk, housekeeping, bar attendants) was very welcoming. professional and helpful. Justin and Tia made sure we were comfortable for the 3 days we visited their hotel. The hotel is clean and the housekeeping staff was so kind and friendly. The hotel area is cozy and quiet. The only bad report is the horrible breakfast and I heard that management is aware and will be making some changes.
