I'm very disappointed with this church. I have paid for several masses for the passing of my loved ones but this one takes the cake. I have paid for 5 masses for my sisters miscarriage and have failed to provide the service. I was given a call to rescheduled for another day for the 1st mass because it was Veterans Day and they were not going to do mass that night at 8 pm. I rescheduled the mass for the next day, and as im hearing the mass through Youtube at the end of the mass i dont hear that no names were mention for the part of the intentions. You can imagine how furious i got because not only did they not called out the names, the church lied saying there was no mass on Veterans day. As you can see in the picture they did have mass on Veterans Day and time i have requested mass for the intentions. The church is very quick to charge but they have no intention or any consideration to do the mass. Shame on this church for being inconsiderate, lying to the people who are faithful to the church and for not keeping their end of the bargain. I don't recommend this church for...
Read moreToday, I came to enjoy the ocean view. I usually bring my chair and mind my own business; only to realize that one of the priest was making his way towards my car. I rolled down my window and I say good morning only to be berated because according to him I was speeding when I enter the premises. I said sir I apologize I did not realize that I was speeding and he continued. I was shocked because his overall demeanor did not represent God at all, but represented a religious doctrine. According to him, he was concern about the “safety of children,” and pedestrians yet where are they when people come and throw Santeria sacrifices into the water. That is not perturbing for the innocent? Wow, I try to seek peace by reflecting in nature, and I cannot even do that thanks to the persecution of religious folks. Access to the ocean view should be segregated from the church premises and should be accessible to the public without the church’s input. Finally, Catholics should worry about what they their priests do to children and not about...
Read moreLa Ermita de la Caridad is the most peaceful place in Miami! This is an escape where you can find solitude and calmness. The surrounding gardens and ocean view are priceless. In addition to the "malecón", which is a sea wall resembling those in Cuba. The palm trees and the instrumental music playing in the background sets the perfect environment to relax and think about life. The church inside is cozy and welcoming. I love the altar, with the Virgen in the middle and another painted on top of the wall mural. Which portrays the most relevant Cuban historical times, places and people. The inner smaller quiet room behind the altar is great for more private praying and meditation. This is a place to talk to God and feel a special energy...
