Midland Community Theatre — Attraction in Midland

My first time here the other night for The Sound of Music. I Loved it! The entire building was so clean and neat, the stage and equipment was so pristine and worked so wonderfully! The sound effects and backgrounds were so vivid and clear, it helped set the scenes so well. I sincerely enjoyed the entire play and loved watching everyone sing their heart out and have fun doing it. It was all so beautifully and professionally done. I do however think not enough people even know that they have such insanely great plays going on here. I'd happily go to more of them here. I did NOT get to check out their concession stand, but the lines were long and everyone had a drink or snack so it must have been good options and prices too. Me and my family recently went to see the show “To Kill a Mockingbird" and it was quite possibly to best show I have ever seen (including the touring broadway shows I have seen). There were so many talented actor and actresses and I particularly enjoyed the Finches. The seats were comfortable but I would particularly advise trying to get seats 5-8 seats up because you are even with the stage and close enough to see the people on stage. The musicals here are amazing as well as the pickwick productions. Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming and I would strongly advise sending your younger kids to their theater school and your older ones to Pickwicks. Over all an...

Went to see Anastasia during one of the last showings. The play itself and most of the actors were great. I would give 5 stars for the performance. However, there was a scene with a gun where the actor points it out to the audience multiple times with his finger on the trigger. I don't have a problem with guns, but this is absolutely not the way to handle them. Fake, unloaded, or not. Don't point it at someone and don't have your finger on the trugger. Too many accidents on sets or plays and movies. It was a unnerving to say the least. They could have had him point it somewhere off stage, not...
