Milford Glass Inc — Attraction in Milford Charter Township

If I could give this place a lower star rating I would. Extremely bad service. The owner was condescending and rude. I had called to get a price and availability for a new sliding screen door. She asked me to bring my existing door in. I told her I have the exact measurements but I can bring it in if she wants me to. I told her I would need to take it back with me since I need a screen in my door wall. She said no problem. So I bring my screen in for them to take the measurements. She takes the screen aside and she went to mark it because apparently she was going to keep it. I told her that I couldn't leave it like I said when I had called. She said well there's nobody here right now to measure it. So I'm thinking "why can't we just measure it right now?" And then she can order it from the measurements we take. That sounded reasonable to me. They can have their measurements and I could take my screen, everything is good. Apparently she didn't like that because she looked at me and said something extremely offensive which I won't mention here. I was shocked by her response. I thought I had offered a very reasonable solution to our dilemma. It's not hard to measure length x width x thickness. So I admit I got very offended by her response and I told her that I'll just take the screen. I decided that I didn't want to give them my business if they're going to treat customers so terribly. On my way out she offered another offensive comment just for good measure I guess. I'm not angry with the treatment I received, just sad that the owner of a company would treat customers that way. Installers- They installed a couple mirrors at my house. First they gauged the wall when hitting it with the mirror as they carried it up the stairs. Then, one of the 2 installers had transferred Grease onto our carpet in several spots since they didn't even hesitate to take off their boots. And, lastly they were not very knowledgeable about installing the mirros; they would not come close to guaranteeing that the mere 2 screws and anchors would even hold the heavy mirrors (40-60 lb. each). After having to pay the $90/mirror to install them, I surely could have done it myself for the minimal applications they used. Customer Service- They were also very disorganized. I had someone come out to measure for mirrors, of which I did not use those measurements (chose to do it myself based on frames for the mirrors). Thereafter, I asked for the quotes and they verbally told me over the phone. I asked for it to be emailed which they promised to send, but failed to do so. Then, after giving them new measurements, they said they'd call back with pricing (which they did). However, when I stopped in to get them lined up for the frames to be delivered and prices in writing, they could not locate the new measurements and pricing. After about 10 minutes, they finally found it (on a notepad outside of My File). So, paying my deposit for the mirrors to be ordered, I also asked a few days later for the delivery date. Again, they promised to call back in 5-10 min. but failed to do so. It was on the day they got the mirrors into their shop that they called. We had a great experience with Milford Glass. Before they even came out to out house I emailed pictures of what I needed to have done and Beth was able to give me an idea of the cost from those pictures. When Brian came out to measure he spent a large amount of time explaining how the glass will fit in the space. He also took a lot of detailed measurements of the space for perfect fit. It was not an easy job since we needed 4 pieces of glass with holes and notches. When I received the estimate it was right in the range that Beth had given from the pictures.
