My wife and I just got married at Tyde at Walnut Beach. I'm generally not a person to write reviews but I feel compelled to do so given how amazing the venue and staff were.
The food is absolutely endless and amazing. We had a bunch of passed apps and food stations during cocktail hour, our guests said they could have eaten the entire night. The reception was 4 courses and the portions are out of this world. 10 oz filet and at least 2/3 lb salmon filets. Needless to say the top shelf open bar all night and the great bartenders had everyone's drinks filled all night long. The late night bites and dessert bar was icing on the cake. Everyone commented how beyond well fed they were.
In terms of the venue itself, it's been open now for a little over a year. Luckily for us, they just finished off the stone retaining wall outside on the water, they put in the summer landscaping and turf area. The seating upstairs and downstairs for cocktail hour and the reception was plentiful and the fire pits were a great addition. Guests were able to mingle throughout the entire venue all night long. If guests wanted a quit environment, outside there were plenty of cushioned seats around fire pits overlooking the water. Others, could be inside the reception area, dancing or mingling.
Rosa and her team, I don't even know where to begin. Communication and expertise on everything involved throughout the planning process to the wedding was superb. The waitstaff and bartenders, well trained and extremely friendly.
If you're looking for an incredible venue, just feet off the Long Island Sound, this is your spot.
I can't think of any negative remark...this was better than we...
Read moreMy husband and I were looking for a modern wedding venue near the water (which is harder to find than you would think in CT), and stumbled across the Tyde a few months after it opened. Everything about this place is absolutely stunning - from the huge windows overlooking the water, to the beautiful finishes around the entire venue, to the most special bridal suite. Our wedding day this past August was absolutely perfect.
Other than just the beauty of the space, every one of our guests we chatted to after the wedding RAVED about the food and said it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. We opted for a sushi chef for cocktail hour and it was such a special touch and just absolutely delicious. There’s so much to choose from to make it tailored to your specific wants and needs!
We were having a “Polish-esque” wedding, so there was a list of things we wanted to do that a lot of other venues would’ve given us trouble for. The Tyde not only made it super easy for us to include these special touches but worked with us to help find vendors/offer suggestions.
This wouldn’t be a review about the Tyde if I didn’t mention Rosa. We were lucky to work with her from the get go and she is just incredible. She answered any question I had so quickly, was always willing to meet in person and didn’t see any request as too big. She is the heart of this place and we are so grateful we had her working with us on our wedding.
This place is just incredible and we would recommend it to anyone who will listen!!! We will definitely be having future special events here since we...
Read moreIf I could relive our wedding day at Tyde every single weekend, I would. Hands down, the hardest part of this whole experience was driving back the next day to pick up my car — because it meant saying goodbye to the incredible Tyde team who truly became family. From the moment we toured the space to the very last dance, Rosa, her sisters, her father, and every single staff member went above and beyond to bring our dream wedding to life. No task was too big, no design request too bold — they were game for every wild idea I threw at them, and helped execute each one with care, creativity, and joy. Every time we visited during the planning process, there was something new — fresh landscaping, new pavement, updated shelves, stunning curtains — it was always a surprise, and somehow the space kept looking better and better. Their commitment to evolving and perfecting their venue is so apparent, and it made every visit feel exciting and special. And the food. THE FOOD. Our guests haven’t stopped talking about the cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres and the burrata salad (trust me — it’s a must). Everything was exceptional. This team didn’t just host our wedding — they became a core part of the experience. From start to finish, they made the process feel easy, supported, and deeply personal. Saying goodbye was truly heartbreaking, but I’m clinging to the promise of a happy hour reunion soon. 🥹 If you’re lucky enough to get married at Tyde, just know: you’re not just booking a venue, you’re gaining a whole extended family who will care about your day just as...
