Ice cream is very good, for the most part, but your experience, especially if you order their waffle cone, will vary wildly, depending who's serving you on that day. Though i have personally spoken with Susan, the owner, about the cost of purchasing a waffle cone on its own and she's agreed to the price of $1.00 , her staff will charge you a range of $1.00 to a whopping $8.00 (for a waffle cone, without ice cream), depending who's there. Susan, since some of us like to customize our experiences with, say, a large milk shake accompanied by a waffle cone (with NO ice cream), could you PLEASE standardize the price of the cone itself, separate from the ice cream scoops? I was there a few days ago and was charged $1.00 for the cone. Today, another staffer charged me AS IF, the cone came with 4 scoops of ice cream! According to her, she did so after walking to the kitchen and consulting with you. Really? I found that hard to believe since you've told me, personally, in another occasion, $1.00. BUT, if you changed your mind and decided it makes sense to charge the same price for an empty waffle cone versus one with with four scoops of ice cream, could you please add that to the menu and prices? Customers should be charged the same for the same things, regardless of who is serving us. Could you please clarify by updating your menu to avoid unnecessary stress when all we wanted was to enjoy a summer afternoon with our kids and grandkids when coming to your place, instead of being aggravated? Much...
Read moreFOREWARNING LOL! Pls read. this review has really nothing to do with the ice cream shop itself but more so with the NEIGHBORS that live across from it. So watch out for them because they are mean people. I was there the other day with my boyfriend who has a really bad ankle. There was no parking and considering that it’s a walk in and out sort of place we parked on the curb of a side street. Yes it said no parking which on my end is my fault, however if you’re struggling to walk you’d do what u need to as well. The people gave us less than 5 mins before they started yelling from across the street. (Keep in mind I wasn’t blocking their house). Not only did they not let me explain myself as a 19 YEAR OLD GIRL. They game off extremely aggressive. Right off the bat they said I’m an “entitled Karen who thinks I can park wherever I want” without considering the “why” as I wasn’t in their way at all. The husband who’s probably in his 50s proceeded to call me a “C” “B*” and other names. He also threatened to fight my boyfriend who was paying at the ice cream stand. All for taking less than 5 mins to get two ice cream cones. Just beware of this man because he is clearly not sane. Nor sensitive to others feelings in a situation that didn’t affect anyone besides me a young woman. Simply wanted to write this to warn...
Read moreNot the best icecream (I'm literally shocked to see it's supposedly gourmet...uh, no it ain't!!) However the service is awesome and it's not the worst icecream.kinda pricey for the blandness but I think we are paying for the location cuz it's right across from the beach. Good enough for me! They have floats, sundaes, milk shakes Ann's even sugar free ice cream! Waffles are made fresh and hot with each order.the shop is super small, it gets claustrophobic really really quickly. The toppings were not completely stale, and plenty of variety. Tons of unique icecream flavor combinations (maybe that's why they call it gourmet??? Certainly not gourmet quality, I'm just saying.) Anyways, the great service and the location is why we will be back.yum. there was an ice cream cream truck going around town with outrageously over priced icecream, so skip the truck and gp to the shop if you can. They put the orders together really quickly too so don't worry if it is packed like a can of sardines in there.you'll. Still be in and out in...
