Kingsman Grooming and Shave Parlor — Attraction in Milltown

Today, I walked into my first scheduled appointment at this shop.

John and Vlad have been great friends of mine for years and always were my go-to’s for cuts.

The atmosphere of this shop is phenomenal. Lighting of the area puts you in a great mood, the background music is subtle but engrosses you into the vibe, and the people who operate the place offer the most premier hospitality.

First thing that surprised me the most that no other shop has done is make me feel EXTREMELY welcomed upon initial entry.

I was asked by the front desk assistance if I would like a beverage while I waited. This is such a unique lead-in for their clients and an effective interpersonal way to treat customers as guests rather than just the usual clients.

As always, John always delivers a premium experience. However, this time, it was unlike what I’ve gotten before. Quick and efficient with utmost precision; touched up on my eyebrows and topped off with the hair product.

Overall, I’m 110% satisfied with the services provided by Kingsman Grooming.

To start, the parlor itself is very impressive. Very well put together with an “olde tyme” feel (as another reviewer put it). No review will be able to accurately describe it — definitely go in and check it out.

As you walk in, you are immediately offered a drink while you wait, giving off a very hospitable feel. The wait can be long at times, but it’s because they’re so new (2 months) and still looking for barbers. If time is an issue, you can always schedule an appointment.

I went for the first time about two months ago and got my haircut by Vlad. Very friendly/genuine guy, professional, and gives a great haircut. Impressed with the service, I went back yesterday and Vlad remembered my name, how I get my haircut, and everything we talked about the first time. Very impressive and made me feel important as a customer.

Besides the occasional wait, I really don’t see how this place could be better. Reasonable prices, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and quality haircuts. You can’t ask for much more. Wells...

In my previous note, I had given Kingsman 1-star, based on a horrible experience that at the time was just unforgivable.

However, immediately following my post, the owner L-Star, had reached out to try to correct any negativity I had of his business. If it wasn’t for him reaching out, I wouldn’t have given this place another shot.

After my hair grew out and I was ready for another barber to cut, I made an appointment with John. He listened and understood how I prefer my hair to be cut and styled. It’s been a few months since I’ve been getting my hair cut regularly with John, and I’m glad to have given this place another shot. Sure saved me time driving to my old barber, which was in old neighborhood in Bergen county.

I appreciate the owner and his attempt to right the ship. I appreciate John, who’s been very accommodating and understanding. I wish this place success and I will continue to evangelize Kingsman for going the extra mile and talent....
