Took my grandson he loves it there, b/ut the problem is the he's only 4 and wants to play with everyone he comes in contact with and some bigger kids that didn't seem to be supervised tried to bully him. Fortunately I saw it and got on to the child that had grabbed my grandson the boy was twice my grandson's size. I was sitting at one of the tables because I wasn't feeling good. So it took me a minute or two after I saw what was happening to get there by this time the child that had grabbed my grandson by the front of his shirt had let go of him but I told him he had better never put his hands on my grandson again. Well needless to say the boy got away from my grandson and didn't go near him again. But if I hadn't been paying close attention there's no telling what might have happened. I guess people don't teach their children to try to get along with smaller kids . My grandson has a lot of cousins that are older and they play with him so he can't understand why other big kids don't want to play with him. My point is if you take your small children pay close attention to them because some parents drop off their older children and just leave so they are not supervised and they think they can do whatever they want which could include hurting ...
Read moreBig park, nice creek, splash pad, playground, and a couple boat ramps. This park has a lot to offer in the way of outside fun and activities. The playground and splash pad are pretty big, boasting a set of restrooms off to the side, a jungle gym, swings, and the most unique seesaw I've every seen. The creek makes for a nice scenic touch as well as the little stream that runs through the park. The wooden bridges and elevated walking path are pleasing to the eye as well. Although it's easily hotter in the Spring/Summer time, all of the picnic tables are shaded under well-crafted, wooden canopies. Also, the elevated walkway runs along the side of the creek, allowing for limited photograph opportunities. According to the map, the river runs down to Blackwater River which eventually connects it to Baghdad Mill Site Park, which might be a worthwhile canoe trip between these two locations. Definitely bring either sunscreen or bug spray or both depending on your desired activities, and get ready...
Read moreI usually go for a walk through the park. Now for summer break there are more people. Many families come here with their children. It's lovely to hear the children laughing and shouting while they are having fun at the play grounds. The kids mostly enjoy the sprinklers. I can see how rapidly they come out of their parents vehicles to run to the sprinklers. Many birthdays are celebrated there at the parks huts. Parents bring all the nice decorations and seems many kids are invited. Also there are others that enjoy alot the sailing through the river. Some days a few ducks are along the river. They are so cute to see with their wiggling tails. The park is very clean and the grass is cut frequently. I see many Milton City workers there most of the time. What concerns me most is that the water at river does not seem so clean. Someone should take a look at this. Carpenter's Park is a very fun and pleasant place...
