If I could give this place negative stars I would it sadness me to give this review I've actually put it off for a couple days now since I last visited this establishment but I can not put it off any longer
This used to be my favorite TACO place by far to go to you can get 4 tacos and a drink for a very reasonable price far better then Taco Bell but this particular day the tacos were not up to par the meat tasted stiff like it had been heated up one or two or three too many times and I tried their hot sauce and it was just way too hot and looked as if they've been sitting out for a while, anyways this is not why I am deeply disturbed by this experience. Me and my boyfriend have been going there for a really long time and it's one of his favorite spots but that's not the case anymore we had been going to Taco town for a while now with no problems but let me just say me and my boyfriend are very affectionate we like to hold hands we like to kiss we like to hug we love each other very much and when you love somebody it is very hard to hide your feelings and we've had no problems anywhere else but I guess on this particular day the coworkers were not happy with our public displays of affection. but by no means were we inappropriate in the slightest way yeah we held hands and we kissed but we never like full-blown made out with tongue. it wasn't like that it was something that you could have your children around. I'm talking about pecks on the lips and rated G snuggles in between bites of tacos. we had thought everything was fine we had struck up conversation we were verry friendly and nice to the co-workers and thought everything was fine by the smiles they were giving back to us, but what really bothers me is when I left the restaurant the manager of the store got one of her employees to harass my boyfriend and gang up on him and tell him how inappropriate we were. Me and my boyfriend are very polite and we both have adequate table manners. I can truly 100% say that there was nothing inappropriate about our behavior towards each other, but my boyfriend was mortified his favorite place to go eat is now a place where he never wants to return to again. if restaurants have a problem with people showing affection towards each other in this day and age with how the world is it's sad that you wouldn't try to inspire people to be happy and encourage people to spread love instead of hatefulness .I guess it is easy to assume that Taco Town wants you to be angry and miserable when you sit down to eat one of their tacos. Truly truly truly disappointed. What a sad day for lovers and Taco lovers not exactly the type of restaurant to show happiness in. I hope everybody else has a better experience with this restaurant then we have sad to say we will not be returning...
Read moreThe food is great, very authentic Mexican styled, and very flavorful! The staff is friendly and they share about things on the menu - just ask them and theyâll explain it! Excellent portions! Very affordable, and they have great daily specials shown on the wall. Pick the day you are there on and see the great special for your day. Also, they have a larger menu board to the right wall of the register counter with lots of variety. They make the food for you by order, and it is delicious, and I promise you wonât leave hungry, but if you happen to be a big big eater, no worriesâŚbecause their prices are affordable you can get seconds of you are someone that can handle that much food. Usually first serving is more than ample for me and I am a big guy at 6â3â and 240 lbs. But still I am usually full after the meal I order. I love their Taco Salad which comes in a big edible tortilla shell filled with meat, beans, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole if you ask for it, and they have hot or mild sauce to add to it if you like a little more heat. The meat is already pretty spicy, but if youâre like me with some Cajun ancestry, I like it more hot! So their hot salsa is just the trick to make it perfect! I am trying to work my way down the menu board to try everything at least once. So far I have had Taco Salad, Burrito, Soft and Crunchy tacos (both are excellent) and next I want to try their enchilada dinner! Youâve got to come try them if youâve never eaten there before! This is a favorite spot for many locals because it is great food at great prices, and great service! You can get it to go or eat in the dining roomâŚIâve done both! The dining room is big enough to accommodate several tables of patrons, but sometimes they are all full up with no where left so I will get take out on those days and that...
Read moreYou can get a meal here for less than $5 and the food is magnitudes better than anything that Taco Hell slings.  Two crispy tacos are $1.29...and filled with meat like Taco Hell promises in their commercials, but fails to deliver when you actually fork over your loot in one of their outlets.
Try a Cheddar Melt for $1.29. Â It's a flour tortilla filled with nothing but meat and cheese, and you'll barely be able to pinch the top together to eat it. Â That would cost triple that price at TB, if they would ever sell something so satisfying.
Mild and hot homemade salsas are great. Â Self-serve fountain Coke products, along with sweet and unsweetened ice tea. Â The place is clean, although spartan. Â Two flatscreen TVs to keep you company. Â Parking lot is small, but you can park out back and creep up, which is a better exit strategy.
The place is on the same side of Stewart as Whataburger, on the next block north, nestled in between a hair salon and an insurance joint, three buildings south of the Stewart/Park Avenue traffic light.
I take my own bottle of hot sauce, because there's none available other than the salsas. Â I also take a book and keep my tab open until I have had my fill of food and drink, because tacos are my smack...I can't get enough. Â Now that Taco Town has moved within 3 miles of my Bat Cave, I predict that I will gain 20 pounds by the time Speedo season arrives. Â Whatever. Â I'm about to head...
