You had all summer to pave over the cracks. When you put a trail between trees and a creek, the roots are going to damage the trails. Biology 101. A total I’ve <100 yards had been improved.

Stunning for being so close to the city! The creek is fantastic and wild. A lot of wildlife everywhere in the park.

Thus portion of the creek is where it meets the Mississippi River. The creek is serene down here, with trees that stretch across the water, shading it from the sunlight. Enough trees have fallen into the creek that they slow the water down to a near standstill, causing beautiful reflections on the rippling water. The bridge at the mouth of the creek leads to the river side, where you can see Hidden Falls Regional Park across...

It is so beautiful walking along the trails beside Minnehaha Creek, down to the beach where the creek meets the river. There are places along the trail where tree roots form stairs. There's one section that has a raised platform to avoid being flooded. There used to be a fire ring, but it got flooded out and washed away. There's one place where the soft rock of the hill has been carved away enough that people can step...
