The previous owner and now Paulette Vasconcellos have created a charming and perfect yoga studio with very positive vibes that lives up to its name! Everyone who works there is so nice! Paulette has been my favorite yoga teacher for over a decade and when I found out that she took over Soul Movement Yoga, I was stoked to say the least! There is something about her style and personality that make her classes special. Paulette has boundless positive energy. There is always laughter and she doesn’t take herself too seriously. The lightheartedness is contagious, she creates a fun environment where it becomes playful to challenge yourself and there is always room to have a giggle. But don’t let that fool you, her classes can be tough, she can crank up the heat (luckily only figuratively speaking), but she provides enough options to make it work for everyone. And she has the great intuition of a seasoned yoga teacher to read the room and the flow of her classes (pun intended) always hits the sweet spot between doable and challenging, and somehow it always ends up being perfect. For me at least. The other teachers are all really good as well.
All in all highly...
Read moreI joined Soul Movement Yoga just about a month ago, and have had the opportunity to enjoy many classes. I look forward to going every time, as there is so much positivity and joy in the community. Before Soul Movement I was practicing at a local gym, which was OK, but it’s not the same as being in a studio. I missed the connections that form, the spiritual element, individual attention, and trying different and more challenging practices. The teachers at Soul movement treat you as an individual with no judgment. Want to pop up into a headstand? Go for it, and they will be there to support you. Looking for a nice relaxing class or in need of certain modifications? They have you covered. There are numerous props available, a large variety of classes at convenient times, so that you will have the practice that is best for you. I couldn’t be happier!...
Read moreAfter a bursa issue and physical therapy, I started yoga to keep more flexible. Enter Covid. Everything shut down. I over heard a woman at my hairdresser talk about her yoga studio so we talked and I found out about SMY's wonderful 2 week try out. I no longer have that Bursa flair up or pain!!! This is a great place for all levels of Yoga where all are treated with love and respect. Classes are offered daily. They have regularly scheduled workshops and a destination yoga trip once a year!!! This could be you new happy place. Oh yes, and the owners have this adorable dog that loves hugs and attention but we dont see her enough!!! Come see...
