Complete and blatantly lied to. Were told the price was due to a problem with a missing item, or because it was a 'floor model', only to find out by other employees that we were intentionally mislead. Were told there were only 'x' number of chairs, to yet again be told, "no, we get chairs brand new in sets of two so we have no idea why you were told otherwise". We were also made aware of the fact that it's just how they do things during "clearance and blowout" or whatever "sale" that's being promoted. AND We were told and paid for delivery that was supposed to be ~a week... over FIVE weeks later and multiple calls each week being told next week or just a few days, it was then revealed to us that, it all had to be ordered and we shouldn't have ever been told a week as they were out weeks for deliveries and haven't been receiving inventory accurately. AND Then after the items were delivered and assembled, my 16 y/o daughter sat on one of the chairs only to find out that along with that chair the 6 of the other chairs (so far) were barely hand tightened. Now I have to go through the rest of the items to check if they were assembled appropriately but seeing what I've had to address it's apparent there is a serious lack of training or it's just not something they consider important. Glad I paid for delivery and assembly.
Unfortunate that a Missoula business would completely throw away integrity and honesty only to replace them with the complete opposite. And find a way to make us feel bad for everything from the day we walked out with the receipt.
Seriously go anywhere else, even automated online buying is better service and integrity... at least it's not disrespect and...
Read moreSo I live by the Wye. This week they flooded the area with advertisements with ads about sales and liquidations and I have heard several radio ads about no “decent” offers turned down and to “Negotiate Negotiate Negotiate”.
Cool. I am happy to make offers and do that and make the drive over there to do so.
I am looking for a mattress and I tell the sales person my budget. That person immediately was trying to sell my far outside my budget. When I said what I needed it at they wished me a good day and walked away saying they wouldn’t be able to help me.
I walked further into the store and found no less that 4 mattresses in the size I was looking for under my budget. How a sales person doesn’t know where the clearance pile is is beyond me. But later when I grabbed someone else to look at the mattress and I made a less than 20% off offer on it they said no. Biggest reason was because the sales people wouldn’t get commission.
Which leads me to believe the reason the sales person wished us a good day and left without genuinely helping me was because they wouldn’t make commission on the sale.
That left a terrible taste in my mouth.
The amount of money they spent on signs which will likely not get cleaned up from the side of the road car exceeds the $20 discount I asked for. I also asked for a cash discount (no) or free delivery. (Also no)
So what was the point of all those signs telling me to negotiate and ads telling me offers accepted if I’m stuck at sticker? On a mattress your sales person wouldn’t help me find.
I’m never going back. Apparently they don’t want my business because I can’t drop $1000 on a...
Read moreWent there for their warehouse sale during Labor Day, and we are regretting it immensely. Bought over $5,000 worth of furniture (slashed reasonably from regular prices which as you’ll find out is the only good thing that’s happened in this process). They promised delivery “by the end of September, for sure.” Well the first shipment came, and there was a missing bedroom night stand, missing living room end table, missing dresser, and to top it off, our dining room table was severely damaged before it was delivered. They said they would be bringing a replacement dining room table the next time they delivered our way, and had no word on when our missing items would be delivered. Here we sit on the 18th of November, still using the damaged dining room table (which will be a real hit with the family on Thanksgiving), and still no dresser, night stand, or end table to be seen. If broken promises were a paying job, Collins would be millionaires. That’s just some of the issues. To add to it, when they sent Wells Fargo the information for our account, they had the wrong address, and wrong phone number. Luckily we were able to have Wells Fargo fix this for us otherwise who knows when/if they would have ever been able to reach us. My advice: if you like misinformation, terrible customer service, and broken promises, then go to Conlins. If you dispise being treated like I have described, go somewhere else. It will only make your furniture buying experience much less stressful. I can’t say run away from Conlins, but I can say sprint away as...
