A few quick points for folks considering going here:
—This is for young kids ONLY. Any kid over 6-8 will be bored after 20-30 minutes. —Lack of attractions in general. Maybe this is a first world problem? I don't know. There just isn't much to do here. Pretty lackluster, particularly for the price. —You can't go down all slides unless you have an inner tube. Good luck finding an available inner tube. When I went there with my family, there were perhaps a total of ~20 available for the entire building. I suppose you could challenge another guest with an inner tube to a duel, but waterpark fights tend to be frowned upon by most decent folk. —When I say "all slides" I mean two. There are two slides. Yay. —No booze for you adults. It's not served there, and you can't bring your own. Not a dealbreaker per se, but Christ man....I'm on vacation. Let me drink a margarita by your pool. —Lazy river is bit too lazy if you catch my drift. That thing barely moves. Also, no inner tube (see above). Hard to enjoy a lazy river that barely moves, particularly sans inner tube.
The staff was nice enough, though they seemed even more bored than we were. Made for an interesting experience. Me and my bored family rubbing elbows with a lot of bored guests, and an even more bored staff. Weird experience, would not repeat.
The rest of Margaritaville is fun though. Just...
Read moreWe went there on a gloomy day (big surf was closed due to the weather). The size of this place is very small and is easily overcrowded. This place is age appropriate for 10 and under. They have a lazy river that is less than 3 feet deep and can quickly become overcrowded. It's probably wide enough for two tubes sideways. The big slide was fun but unruly children/adults can easily distract you. The single person slide does not require a tube but due to sharing the same stairwell as the slide for tubes some individuals didn't feel like saying excuse me when overwhelmed with fun. The crew there are young. It's a great size for ages 6-10 to run crazy and unsupervised . If you go there just to go to the indoor waterpark the price is a little too pricey. If you have little kids it's perfect. This place is a few steps up from a splash park. If you are expecting a waterpark you are setting yourself up for...
Read moreThe park was the perfect size for my 9 and 6 year old. It had enough to keep them entertained, but was small enough that I could let them play without having to follow them all the time. There was a large play structure, with a dumping bucket and lots of room to play, and had two slides attached. There were two large slides, one you rode with a tube and one without. The tube ride could be a single or double tube, so you can ride with a younger child. Kids have to be 42 inches tall for the big slides. There was also a pool with basketball hoops and an area to swim. There is a small lazy river, and a large hot tub. Plenty of table and chairs to sit in. The only con was that there is only one lifeguard, and they are stationed at the top of the big slides. Overall, it was a great place, well worth the money! My kids could have stayed longer, but...
