We had first arrived at Margaritaville on Thursday, July 15th and were waiting for our room to be ready after waiting in the check in line for an hour upon arrival. We decided to go to the Land Shark Bar & Grill for lunch while waiting for our room to start our vacation. First, we walked up to the "hostess" area and were not greeted by 3 teenage girls standing around playing on their phones and talking to each other. After about 30 seconds they realized that there was a party in front of them wanting to be seated. We asked the hostess with braces to sit us at a shaded table by the water. I had my 70-year-old mother and 10-year-old son with me. The hostess said, no I cannot seat you in that section because it's already been sat. Meanwhile, my 10-year-old son has already sat at the table because we were in the car for over 6 hours, and he was ready to have some fun. I told the hostess with the braces to please have another server wait on us then because we would like to sit at that table. She kept arguing with me about how we cannot sit at the table. I then proceeded to the table in the shade by the water. Braces then said something crewed in front of my mother (about me, a paying hotel repeat customer) and slammed down the silverware and the menus at the table. My mom was very upset at the comment she said about me and asked her name. After that happened, I asked for a manager to come out please to another young hostess. After about 2 minutes, this woman came out and idented herself as the manager. She was extremely confrontational towards my family and very aggressive towards me. She stood very close to me, telling me that we should have sat at another table, and it was our fault. “What would you like from me?” she stated about 5 times. This woman was completely horrible to me and my family. My son started crying and was very scared. The purpose of me asking for the manager was that I wanted to tell her how her staff had treated us, and I received a nonprofessional “manager” that stood very close to me and yelled at ME regarding how I treated her staff. The “manager” was a middle-aged woman with brown hair, about 5’7 and I wasn’t able to get her name. She told me her hostess was crying and was going to have to send her home. I, on the other hand, just paid thousands of dollars for a stay at this resort and just arrived…. And WAS excited. I couldn't believe how we were treated by the 3 teenage hostesses and most of all the "manager". I personally work in customer service and would NEVER get away with that type of behavior towards a customer, nor would I ever treat a customer with that level of childish behavior. I walked away and left the restaurant due to the “manager” throwing fire on the situation and making it worse. I will never stay at Margaritaville Lake of the Ozarks ever again or return to the Landshark Bar & Grill. The food is mediocre and the service we experienced was horrifying. This was the most disgusting form of customer service I have ever experienced. I will also be putting out the same experience on all social media. After this happened, I called the main number and received Jason Taylor's name (Head of Food & Beverage of all Margaritaville) and I plan on personally reaching out to him regarding this awful experience. That type of behavior towards paying guests is NEVER acceptable. Don't argue with the customer about what table they would like to sit and especially a "manager" (if she was even a manager) that doesn't threaten guests and make a situation worse! Nothing professional or accommodating about the Landshark Bar & Grill. However, we made our way over to the Redhead and received warm and inviting service as well as EXCELLENT food!! Stay away from...
Read moreTwo stars because food was good but very bad experience. We were 7 grown ups and 5 kids total. We were ordering throughout all the time, food drinks etc. After a while one of the personel guy came to us and told one of my friends that we will have to leave in 30 min because they will need the table or we will have to recheck again and be seated on another table. Recheck means that we need to pack everything(5 kids) and wait 20-30 min just to be seated on different table. We were like ok we will see what we can do. After 10 min another guy showed up and told me personally that we need to leave til 5 pm. We paid a check of 290$ + I ordered another round for 70$ before he approached and we were still gonna order more drinks and food.I asked him why do we need to leave when we are still working on our drinks and food that we just reorder,on top of that we were going to order more. He started tapping me on the shoulder thank you for your orders but you gotta leave etc. I told him sir we are big group it’s not easy just to leave and then he started touching my shoulder again and I told him do not touch me because I’m not his buddy. We left after few minutes leaving full drinks on the table that we paid for. 2nd part was yesterday. Went there with my wife and kid because he was hungry and this was around 8:30 pm. Lot of open tables but they couldn’t sit anyone until the fireworks are done. Fireworks starting at 9pm and finishing at 10pm. We were like ok can we order something for the kid only for to go which they said their manager told them no food or serving for 2 hours and the restaurant was fully open. Not serving a kid and having such a stupid rules is very bad. Definitely will be back to the Ozarks but never to this restaurant because they don’t appreciate their customers and not willing to work their way around and make you comfortable when you need a simple service or similar. At the end of the day you are a restaurant and need to be able to work with...
Read moreBridget was one of the best servers I’ve had, particularly with a large party of 12 on a summer day! The food was great and i loved that there was a swim up bar that everyone could use, not just guests staying at the adjacent resort. My biggest grievance with the experience was something mostly beyond the restaurant’s control, but they could have been more understanding and willing to address my concern with just a bit of sympathy. Apparently there is a plastic cup shortage so a lot of their alcoholic drinks are served in 6-8oz cups, basically the size of a Dixie cup. The average price per drink (liquor, not beer) is north of $11, which would be for a normal size 12oz drink. The restaurant did not adjust their pricing so you would spend the same amount of money but get a much smaller drink. I asked to speak to a manager or bartender but nobody seemed to care about this problem. The pic is comparing one of the margaritas with a plastic 16oz beer cup. I asked for the drink in the bigger cup and they said it would cost me an extra $4 which makes absolutely no sense. Although Bridget handled my feedback well, i don’t feel that management even cared. Had they been able to accommodate a normal size beverage for the same price or even just entertained a conversation with me about it, i easily would’ve given this...
