I'm surprised this place has anything over a 4 star rating the customer service is very rude. We were visiting the area and recieved a push notification from Groupon, so we purchased tickets from Groupon the day after Christmas, with the idea they were going to take the kids to see Wonka. We get to the theater to learn that the tickets can only be used after the movie had been out for two weeks- this was not mentioned on the purchased tickets anywhere. We have four kids and it was the day after Christmas, we had just spend $35 on Groupon and couldn't justify swinging an additional $60 bucks, when regal offers military discounts and we could get tickets from them for much less. So we went to another theater and told our girls we would bring them back to watch mean girls. We live in Fresno, we planned an afternoon to come back down to use the Groupon tickets two weeks after mean girls would be out. When we arrived to the theater, again we were greeted with another face less than excited to be at work and again we were promptly told that we couldn't use the tickets as they are only redeemable Monday- Thursday. It was a Sunday afternoon and really Noone was there. Okay, this is disappointing I tried calling several times to verify we wouldn't have an issue and nobody answers the phone it says mailbox full. The gal informed me with all the attitude that of course they didn't answer, they don't have a business line. Who ever runs this Google page needs to change to no phone number if that's the case. We were reminded that they offer no discounts and that we should read the fine print when we purchase tickets. I pilulled the tickets up and said yes, it does say Monday- Thursday that's my bad but it doesn't anywhere say must wait two weeks- that's a rule that needs to be on the tickets. We waited 30 mins to talk to a manager who never came so we left and are back at Regal watching a movie. We will be calling Groupon tomorrow for a refund and don't plan on ever stepping into brenden again- things happen and misunderstandings happen but the people who work there are just...
Read moreWe will never come back. We stopped comming here and driving all the way to riverbank a while back but the movie We wanted to see was sold out. So we decided to give Brenden another chance. That was a big mistake!
-First thing coming in you can't even buy tickets with cash you have to buy them online or at the kiosk.
-At the concessions stand Large drinks and popcorn no longer come with refills (iv never been to a movie theater that has done that EVER) but don't think that means they lowered the prices. Nope same price but no refills. Okay, weird. But let me remind you the theater pays maybe 50 cents for the refills
-guess what comes with your 6 dollar hotdog... the cheapest nastiest ketchup and mustard known to man.
-The butter dispenser station was absolutely disgusting and everything within a 3 foot radius was covered in buttery topping. So much so that my 9 year old slipped and fell.
the bathrooms are just laughable the stalls that actually latch properly don't have seat covers, and have a 50/50 chance of actually having any toilet paper. And then Only 1/4 actually had soap in them.
The seats are absolutely NOT sanitized or cleaned ..probably ever. I pulled out a baby wipe to clean a mess my child made and the wipe came back BLACK from just 2 or 3 passes...
-Lastly the theater doesn't even cover the cost of the parking garage anymore.
All of these things are cost related eaither from choosing the cheapest option available or not having enough staff to properly run the place.
At this point just cut your losses and close the business. Why would we choose to come to brenden when there are so many different MUCH BETTER options.
If I were the owner I would reach out to galaxy and offer to sell the business because owners/upper management are running this place...
Read moreDoes Brenden deliver the best movie experience ever? The atmosphere is truly amazing, they clearly want to remind you of the 1973 George Lucas American Graffiti, with a sense of feeling young while watching a movie. I've gone to Brenden since 2009, I will say that at times the experience can be broken. Back in 2013, I noticed some of the screens were a bit stained or ripped in some way. The seats can cause an uncomfortable feeling, especially when watching a 2 hour Marvel extravaganza. But they make up for it with its amazing customer service. Even when waiting in a long line they tend to you in the best possible way. The arcade makes it easy to wait and kill time when waiting for your screening time. The lobby is big enough to walk around and enjoy the posters, take pictures with friends and just chill for a couple minutes. They just recently started selling Beer for those of 21 and older, which I'm sure is a plus to many. One thing that Brenden has more than any theater in Modesto, is their events. The Star Wars The Force Awakens premiere was amazing, they had promotional tin popcorn buckets and people in costumes. They always do something for a premiere which will bring lots of wonderful fans you can meet and are always open to discuss with you their favorite movies and excitement. They know how to excite fans of a movie franchise. Brenden has room for improvement, and even their sound could be better, but they make up for it with its atmosphere, customer service, and many to come nostalgic memories you'll have with friends,...
