I wish I could give 0 stars. My daughter was extremely excited to start horseback riding lessons. Literally drawing pictures of horses and counting down the days to when she started lessons. The first lessons were a little hectic but once she was able to head out to the arena things seemed ok. Then the second week was when things went a haywire. The owner Lori took over lessons that week and was yelling at the kids. She would yell at my daughter telling her to stop doing what she wanted to do and to listen to her! Lessons continued and at one point she yelled STOP so loud startling us. She continued and told the girls not to pass my daughter! She went on and a few moments later yelled to them just to pass my daughter! She was all over the place. She was unorganized with a temper. She told my daughter she shouldnât be in this class and yelled towards me asking who is her mom?! She shouldnât be in this class!! I asked her if I should pull her out today and come a different day? She said no. I told her she isnât learning anything from this lesson because the entire time she has been yelling not only at my daughter but other girls. She said sheâs trying to teach her how to ride a horse! She went on to say she doesnât have time for this and she will refund me while walking away. She got my daughter off the horse and walked her out. My daughter was hysterical. She was crying. This woman, the owner is heartless, rude, unprofessional, and so much more. I canât believe she has a functioning business to be honest. Her employee kept apologizing and trying to explain to us that sheâs just having a bad day. I donât care if she had a bad day or not this is no way to treat a child, her family, or any of her customers. She was breaking down her spirit when she was so excited to begin this new journey. She told me she didnât want to ride anymore that night and the next day. I told her this was just a bad experience. One of the worst things in life is watching your kids heart break. Being bullied by an adult is not ok. I had to pick up the pieces and explain to her other peoples actions and behavior have nothing to do with you, itâs them. I would never refer Nova to anyone looking for lessons. If youâre looking for a great experience and a place to learn and bond with the horses this place is...

Read moreMy daughter has been riding at Nova for almost six years now. We initially enrolled her because of her love of animals, especially horses. She was an incredibly shy six year old who was afraid to talk to anyone and it was affecting her school work. What we didnât know at the time was that Nova would change her life, and ours, in so many positive ways. Novaâs mom and daughter team are very knowledgeable and welcoming to all who enter, and truly treat you like family. They take an interest in every student. My daughter fell in love with Nova and her confidence quickly grew strong. The student horse shows, summer camps, group and private lessons are all phenomenal. Nova provides a safe environment, instructors that are great with children, and horses that are gentle and very well taken care of. My daughter went from casually taking group lessons every other week, to making the show team. My once shy, timid daughter is now volunteering, giving tours to new students, and riding at a competitive level. She went from struggling with her school work to being a consistent honor roll student. Sheâs not only riding, but learning discipline, the importance of diligence and hard work, and how to work as part of a team. Sheâs made so many great friends there and the older students act as mentors that she looks up to. And the best part of it all is that the drive came from her motivation to ride. We never felt pressure from the owners or instructors to âtake it to the next levelâ like in so many other sports. Her instructors are encouraging, the owners are always available to answer any questions, and they work with us at my daughterâs pace. If you are interested in learning how to ride, I encourage you to sign up for lessons, or attend an event like their Valentines dinner and ride. I hope that youâll fall in love with the facility, horses, and people as...
