Legends Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Mokena

My daughter told us they were good so after walking all day at the Frankfort Fest, we went there famished. We stood and we waited to be seated and waited. My son-in-law went to the bathroom and came back and we were still waiting. We saw a guy sitting looking disgusted with his two kids trying to pay his bill. Finally they said they would clean a table off so I went to the bathroom and literally washed my whole arms and hands. I went back to where the table was and they were still waiting to be seated. Now there was a line. A girl got our attention and motioned us to come over and sit at a table across the dining room. The women behind us were sat at a booth, we would have loved and told the specials and we sat and waited and watched the guy try to pay his bill, but the workers ignored him. The other women got to order drinks. The guy took his credit card back, put cash in and walked out with his kids and we waited. The women in the booth got their drinks!!! We were still sitting there without anyone acknowledging us. We got up and walked out and went to Mindys. Hostess was friendly. Shrimp tacos and chocolate martini was good. I sat at the bar to have a few drinks while I did my homework until my husband came. The bartender didn’t want to really serve me. I asked for food and drinks I seen advertised on their Google listing but was told they didnt have it. I was the only black woman in the place of mostly white staff and customers and I noticed my neighbors got check ups but I didnt get anything. I asked about their food and she quickly answered it and walked away without taking my order. I knew what I wanted but again she didn't want to be bothered with me. So instead of flagging her down I sat in her section on my computer until she was annoyed enough to come check on me and ask me my order. The order she would've gotten had she not walked off rudely when I was asking questions about their menu. My husband is white but came late as he was busy with something else and I noticed she became more attentive even though she mostly acknowledged him instead of me. Tim, the manager, ruined the atmosphere. He was a complete douche and accused us of lying. Let me explain... been there many times on Thursday for burger night, wife doesn't eat beef and asks if she can swap the beef for chicken. Bartender takes her order for grilled chicken instead of beef, like it's ok and like we've been given no less than 5 times in the last year. 10 minutes go by and the bartender comes back and says her manager won't approve chicken in lieu of beef. We say its never been a problem the previous 5 times so she offers to talk to her manager again...which we were thankful for. She was a great bartender. Nonetheless, here comes Tim, manager on Thursday 1/4/2024 to tell us he's never done that before (like we lied). We told him we didn't want it then and he walked away. We understand their position and agree chicken is not beef but Tim was wrong to imply we were lying since other managers apparently approved the request in past recent visits. It definitely ruined our time there and would fully appreciate a spanking for Tim being such a douche. He wore a Bears hat but should be wearing a GB Packers hat (G.. Backdoor...
