Took our family here with our 4 kids. It is very nice to have in Mont Belvieu however there really isn't much for the kids to interact with. When we went, the vacuum thing with the tubs was basically not working because there were tons of the little pieces of fabric stuck in the system. Most of the valves to open and or close for that were also already broken. The little HEB shopping center, the ER and Dentist office were the places my kids enjoyed the most. The issue was the pure volume of children there and lack of supervision for many of them made those spaces become crowded quickly causing the kids to lose interest fast. The stage are is a total flop making a complete waste of space and many of the "industrial/oil and gas" things in the middle had literally ZERO appeal for children. The paper airplane area is cool but the picture instructions on the wall are difficult for an adult to understand let alone children. Supposedly the outdoor area is going to expand and eventually include a playground, but why would you go here when the Mont Belvieu city park is literally across the street and free? The last major missed opportunity here is why is there no food or drinks available for purchase? They have water fountains near the restrooms but not having a food vender or even vending machine is a poor decision. Overall, if you're expecting a smaller version of the Children's museum in Houston you will be sadly disappointed. The entire experience was very underwhelming. The price is fair I suppose, but this place really has little return value and will likely be a "one and done" for your family like it...
Read moreMy daughters recent field trip to the Chambers County Children's Museum was a huge success! The museum is well-organized and provides a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn through play, and my daughter loved it!
The exhibits were thoughtfully designed to be interactive and hands-on, catering to a range of learning styles. The construction zone was a hit, allowing the kids to collaborate and build together. My daughter really enjoyed the market area, which fostered imaginative role-playing as you can pretend to be a shopper or a worker.
The museum's size was perfect for the groups of kids that went on this field trip. It allowed the children to explore at their own pace without feeling overwhelmed. The staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable.
The Chambers County Children's Museum is a valuable asset to the community and a wonderful field trip destination. It provides a unique opportunity for children to learn and grow through play, and we highly recommend it to other schools and organizations and even to those who just want to stop by and let the kids enjoy themselves. We look forward to returning with my son, who has autism I know he would get a kick out of this place.

Read moreThe facility is nice and kept tidy. There are many stations for life skill experiences that make learning fun provided the adults have lnowledge to share.
Issue 1 - Facility only has 1 drinking fountain they they expect everyone to drink from.
Issue 2 - Drinks are not allowed inside and they don't sell drinks, not even water bottles.
Issue 3 - Staff (seemed bored to tears) don't interact with patrons or demonstrate skills in stations that would've helped some children gain a broader experience. Kids mainly focused on the stations for grocery and building blocks because they are most familiar with those items.
Issue 4 - Staff seemed to cling together, chatting it up while strolling about, occasionally straitening up behind families who didn't pick up after their kids.
Suggestion 1 - Perhaps create a breakroom with a water cooler and cups that must stay in that area.
Suggestion 2 - Train staff to demonstrate skills in stations in the same manner as an airline stewardess does before take off.
In closing, we'll go again but I sincerely hope the facility director would consider some changes/upgrades. I'll have an ice chest in the car filled with water bottles for when we leave since we will not drink from a slurping fountain. The kids were so thirsty which made them very cranky after 3 hours of play. Adults were parched as well.
Again, nice place. Just need...
