Daiso is great, unfortunately Tracy behind the register isn't. She is rather snappy and speaks with a condescending tone when asked questions, that even her "Welcome to Daiso" greeting seems forced. I had to engage with her 3 times because there was no one else working. The first was for a price, that was normal. The second was to ask if they accept returns and she seems a bit bothered, by me coming a second time. The third was to ask where an item was located, she told me in the back of the aisle. Upon arriving, I could not find the item, so I went back to pay for the stuff in my hand, and let her know I couldn't find it, hoping she would offer to show me. But she did not even seem like she was standing in front of me and didn't even reply to me saying I couldn't find it. The only thing she said to me was no refunds. Yes, I know that, I asked you 15 mins before, I thought in my head. But she was already tuned out, just a body behind the register, zero personality. I really wanted to just drop the stuff and walk out, but really need the items. It really feels as if we, the paying customers, are bothering her when asking for help. Seriously if you don't want to work here which is painfully obvious by your demeanor, then quit, instead of torturing your customers with your unhappiness. There is literally no one else working except her so even if I wanted to avoid her, there was no one else to ask. Daiso management seems to also be largely at fault for understaffing and producing unhappy employees. Bad customer service...

Well, now it's been turned into a Daiso! It's a Japanese 99¢ store, but stuff doesn't cost 99¢ I think it's $1.50. This store is a combination of cute, awesome, and interesting. Lots of cute and beautiful things to decorate your home, or office. Daily necessities are sold here, such as laundry detergent, dish soap, cleaning supplies, gardening, cooking, etc. No knowledge of Japanese is needed. Some of the products are in Japanese, but you can figure out what it's for.
You need food containers? They have a HUGE selection of food containers. They also have a pretty beautiful selection of ceramic mugs, and bowls. Ramen soup bowls, traditional tea sets, plates, and chop sticks sets. Pretty cool gift idea.
Place is clean and beautiful. Shiny white floors, lots of lighting. Staff is very friendly.
Oh! They have all sorts of Japanese snacks, drinks, and interesting flavors of Nissin...
Read moreI was hoping to find decent little gifts but the whole store has only junk; In addition, they put their prices translated to their language, so if it's your first time you have to figure out how it works with the prices; Why not just put the prices with the dollar sign the same way normal businesses do?? We're in the United States. Anyway, alright, I guess that if this was the real issue I would not write a review at all, I mean, why waste my time, I just won't go and that's it BUT, here's the BUT, every time I asked an employee a question about how to translate the prices from their language to English, or about a product, the employees are so pathetic. I could tell they were not happy working there, they looked bored and not willing to go beyond. The worst was the lady cashier. She has attitude, like she's doing a favor to the customer. I had to ask Her her name; She said "Emma". Worse customer service ever! She is the major reason why I would not go back...
