A big, beautiful and CLEAN library. There is parking in front of the library and artwork framed throughout. Hide away in a quiet room or work on one of the many computers, many tables and seating options are tucked in corners...in case you need some "Me" time. The young adult section has cool comic posters and shelves of manga to browse. The entire upper floor is dedicated to young children books and play areas. You can walk up the central stairs or take the elevator. PRO TIP: this isn't an LA City Library, they do deliver returned books for FREE to city libraries, but it'll take 3-4 days.

This is a nice library situated by the fire department and Barnes Park. The parking lot is quite tight and small, but it's free. There are also a lot of free parking spots around the park. Next door is a Boys n Girls club. I haven't borrowed any books yet, but I attended a free craft event. The librarian and volunteers were very nice and friendly. They explained instructions well and were welcoming.

One of the most beautiful libraries I’ve visited. Two levels, many rooms, ample and well-lit with many activities and resources for people of all ages. I came here to attend a crafting event and was satisfied with the crafting presentation. Will be coming back to attend another in the future. Highly recommend this library. It’s sooo nice! It has that for the community vibe.

Library facilities, collections & programs are good. However, inadequate city budgets continue to limit the official hours open to the public. Year upon year, the Library management has grappled with diminishing city funding... -- there's a steady stream of people (~60% kids / students) show up to the Library doors -- turned away after reading the hours... -- students required to meet for group projects are greatly challenged finding suitable times to meet that coincide w/ Library open hours -- so far, they have managed to lessen impact of reduced funding in many areas * at the expense of Hours * (i.e. choosing staff retention by reducing employment hours) It's a huge contrast to the stable Alhambra City Library (just North), that has maintained (and possibly expanded) extensive hours over the...

Tons of new books and very huge. You could even rent a room or go to friends room where they have events and stuff like that. It had been the best library I’ve been to. Some library are too loud and have people eating, but this one is well organized. There’s also many places to sit while other libraries have no seats available most of the time. They have really nice computers and a lot of them, unlike most library, where all the computers are laggy, small, and outdated. When I go to a library, like Arcadia library or Temple City Library their computers are usually super old and laggy, compared tot he Monterey Park library where they actually have some decent computers. I feel like this library actually cares for other people, not just for themselves...

Welcome to another unfriendly library ( staff at computer desk). I have no idea what these pple are here to serve to safeguard . Asking for extra hours to use a computer is so darn difficult while bunch of PCs are pretty much emptied except kids are playing game on pc . Pple who want to do productive works aren't seemed to be welcoming . No clue why they're all here for what purpose or just a ' govt job' they can't seem to be able to think . Coming here once you need to collect that plastic card. It seems they want to show their " traffic is busy " to boost their headcounts or something. Unbelievable trick. Even my laptop wifi was dead ( not able to connect ) suddenlly after 2 hrs & I asked around no one seemed to have that problem but my laptop....
