Barnes Park Amphitheater — Attraction in Monterey Park

Like last year, this year too Monterey Park had the Christmas celebration . Though it's not that much of activities, it was still fun with kids performing . It was special for us , as our kid also participated for the first time in the singing. Started around 7pm and we left at 9:30pm , programs continued. We had a Sledge ride and some snow ball throwing, about 20 tonnes of ice were brought in for setting up Sledge ride and snow playing area.. caught up with friends and family from my kids school... Looking forward to next year.

There are quite a few events at Barnes Park, so it's usually pretty lively over there. There are often festivals and concerts being held. Even when nothing special is going on, it's always nice to take a stroll in the area. Although the park is far from the smallest I've seen, it doesn't take long for parking to fill up during an event, so make sure to arrive early before the crowd makes it hard to find parking. If needed, bags for dog waste are provided near the tennis courts. And like many others have mentioned, the bathrooms aren't the cleanest, but if you need them, they are located...

This was a disappointing experience. There was only one vendor selling g coffee. The only decorations were on the stage. It didn't feel festive. The children performing were adorable and my sister in law won a Christmas tree! The event seemed disorganized and lack luster. Santa was supposed to light a Christmas tree which...
