Enjoyed jogging on the beach here a few months ago. Lots of people with their dogs, the beaches are a bit rocky in the water, but still joggable. Make sure to keep items attended as they do cleanup sweeps on this beach.

I went for a jog and left my shoes unattended and a gov worker who cleans the beach picked them up during their sweep. Fortunately I got back from my run in time to catch up to them and get my shoes back 🤣.

This place is a sleepy town, but man it’s nice to be near the water.

I visited in March, it was warm and...

Beautiful beach, unfortunately it is ALWAYS packed with cars, there tends to be garbage lying around due to lack of garbage cans, with no running water or options to purchase snacks. I prefer Monterey Harbor due to having a large parking lot and many food options as well as restrooms. Plus it's the same amazing view of the ocean and I do find the tides in this area to be much smaller as well, obviously safer for children. Oh and Del Monte Beach in Seaside has two parking lots as well as GREAT food and drinks at...

In A Nutshell:

-Del Monte Beach is an awesome beach. -Small in size, yet big in privacy. -If you are looking for a nice, tucked away beach, then this is it. -You'll be away from the big Monterey Beach crowds. -You can also bring your dog(s) to this beach. -Please make sure you respect the neighborhood while you drive through and park. -It's highly advisable to come here during the early morning, like 7am early if you want to ensure an enjoyable time w/ maximum privacy.

Overall, re-read the last...

Great beach! 🏖️ Great spot to have a beautiful view of Monterey and Pacific Grove coast. There is definitely no overnight parking but some people Park more towards the left of the residence instead of on the right facing the beach. There are public porta potties at the end of the road. Not the cleanest but it is definitely worth it when you need to go. There are 2 public parking spots and 2 for handicap ♿. First come first serve 👀 Not lit at all at night BUT it is low traffic on non holiday days. Enjoy!

Lovely, long, sandy beach. Great for long leisurely strolls. Parking is free, if you get there early, but, as mentioned in other reviews, it is limited. They could stand to have public restrooms here, but, otherwise, no complaints! There is a nice landscaped buffer between the beach and the neighborhood with boardwalks and benches for sitting up above the beach and watching the people and the waves with Monterey Bay in the background.
