This review is about delivery of my items. Over the past 13 years, my whole house is practically furnished entirely with La Z Boy. This delivery and set up has been a nightmare! I had to wait for weeks after my items were ready to get a delivery date. Multiple calls to the store, visits, etc. I had to call the Huntsville store, twice, to confirm. Huntsville store has an attitude problem so get ready when you call about your items. Once the guys arrived with my stuff, they couldn't get it off the truck and set up fast enough... Like they had somewhere else more important to be (they didn't, I was their second of 2 deliveries that day). I had zero time to look at anything or inspect before they were out the door. Oh, and the full order didn't even make it on the truck. I have a bed with NO slats to put a mattress. Not only that, but the bed they sent (and laid eyes on before it left the store) is defective. The wood is falling off on the headboard and footboard...I need a whole new bed. I called the store and they wouldn't help with the slats (that are sitting in their warehouse), it's now a comfort care issue. I scheduled a comfort care virtual appointment... The technician never called. I called them again and it was another day and a half before I could get another appointment. No explanation as to why the tech never called me. I'm still waiting on comfort care to call me back for an ETA on my new bed and slat delivery. Oh, and my mattress is being delivered (to my floor) at 0800 on a holiday because the mattress people will not wait on La Z Boy's bed shanigans any longer. This has been a very disappointing experience that did not need to happen if any, ANY quality control had been done...
Read moreThe sales associate was great, and the buying process wasn’t bad. The only part that was frustrating was the multiple times they said it would be delivered. I took off on the 28th of last month for my $3700 couch to be delivered and no one showed. Then they said it would “probably be delivered on the 2nd” and they couldn’t find my couch in the system so it’s probably in Birmingham. I called on the 3rd and they said that it would be in the next week on Monday and expect it Tuesday. So I waited and called 10 minutes before close on that Tuesday and they said it would be Thursday when it was to be delivered and they would call me the night before to confirm a time. I called them Wednesday night since no one called me and they said “someone should have called you, when we weren’t a corporate store we could handle customers better, but it will be there tomorrow morning between 830-11”. Which I’m glad I called because no one let me know any kind of time. The delivery guys were awesome but they only called 10 minutes before hand, so I’m glad I was home. They unloaded my new couch and seemed like they cared. They said they had no idea what they store was talking about and that they didn’t know of any instructions to call me or anything the store wrote down. They said the store puts a lot of blame on them. I had my couch arrive yesterday, and in the middle of today I get an automated message saying my couch will be delivered with yesterday’s date on it.
Overall the product is good but horrible communication. I had to call and bug them for weeks to get any kind of update through the process, and also lost a days worth of work because of an earlier promised...
Read moreI dropped a load of money at La-Z-Boy to get a sofa bed and a recliner last Friday. All I asked was that the sofa be delivered by Wednesday because I was expecting company. I made it clear that there would be no purchase if I could not have it for my company Wednesday night and paid $160 for the delivery fee. On Wednesday afternoon, I received the wrong sofa. After multiple calls to our salesperson Tawanda, I agreed to use it until mine arrived and return it in the same condition I received it. It appeared to be in good condition when it was delivered, but although we folded out the bed and even looked at the air pump mechanism, we did not inspect inside the mattress cover. When we tried to blow the bed up, we realized there is a huge hole in the air mattress, so the bed is unusable. I waited all afternoon but received no phone call or email from anyone except the poor salesperson. La-Z-Boy used to mean quality and service. Our company ended up sleeping on the floor on a leaky air mattress thanks to this screw up and are likely to spend the whole holiday weekend that way despite the fact that I spent $3,000 to ensure they would not, and since we have not received the recliner yet either, we are short comfortable seating for the ballgame on Saturday as well. Not one person from management has contacted us to try to fix this or mitigate our situation despite 5-6 phone calls with our salesperson (who contacted both Birmingham and Huntsville trying to find out what happened).
